I wish. Failed my test twice, ‘cos I can’t seem to get the U-turn right. Pretty fed up as I have yet to meet a biker who has ever needed to do one or who has a bike that will actually get round in one go because of the turning circle. 😡
the trick is to look where you want to end up rather than at your front wheel… sounds weird but it works – bit like the helmet mounted sites
they have now days..!!

isn’t there one at Shuttleworth in RAF colours?
intersting year.. favorite 2 shows for me were the biggest one I went to (Legends) and the smallest (Chailey).. Legends pulled a couple of nice visitors out of the hat and the ever reliable mass Spitfire tail chase.. good day out despite having to shelter under the Trident wing from rain at one point.. Chailey was excellent, great show with no filler items, nice location and chance to sit down and watch the world go by with some of ‘you lot’.. 😀
and from a personal point of view its been a good year – chucked my job, and having been involved with the airline world for over 20 years I decided to do somethign different… and, erm ended-up get a job involved with aeroplanes again, albeit noisy pointy ones..!

excellent.. I never realised this many of the racers survived.. and displayed nicely by the looks of things – typically Italian even the rope barriers are stylish!! 😀 yep lets see some more !
Uxbridge Sector Room, height of the battle..
Park to Churchill..
sorry sir but for the comfort of our guests and collegues this has been designated a no smoking area..
Michael Caine shouting at Luftwaffe crew during ‘duxford’ hangar destruction scene…
“you’re only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!”
😀
I look forward to seeing how our photographic ‘Top Guns’ get on at the next evening run! 😀 when the a/c carries out the power runs its in total darkness apart from some edge lighting, then around the hangar area its a mixture of orange and white flood lights, right in the wrong places!! oh well at least it stayed dry..

Need More Practice !!!
.. but I’ll inflict these on you anyway!
I believe that entry and parking is via the visitors centre.. flying is currently scheduled for around 1420ish but looking at the weather anything could happen.. but theres a couple of nice white gazeboes where you can shelter from the wind and rain – if they’re still there by sunday!!
nope, east kirkby not open sundays.. actually neither is Lincolnshire!!! 😀

have a good trip… don’t forget to have a good rummage around those ‘tat’ stalls! As its Texas, their tat is bound to be bigger and better..!

did anyone give him a slap ?!
hmm definately a skip-shaped dent…
The BBMF Lancaster flew quite low over Hunsdon and Sawbridgeworth airfields today, we were at Hunsdon airfield with the microlight club to raise funds for the Memorial we are building there when the lanc flew just south of the airfield, all unintentional I’m sure but Thanks BBMF all the same !.
The Lanc was ‘booked’ for Sawbridgeworth today, don’t know what the event was..?
