I’m still OK for it.. any excuse for a day at Duxford, and as Kev righly says, a chance to meet some of the chaps and chapesses! anyway I’ve booked the day off of work now!

should we wear a pink carnation, or will it be obvious who we are by our anoraks!!!

.and its not just confined to enclosures, I had the same problem at Legends in th epublic area… found a nice place sit far enough back from the crowd line that i could see stuff takign off and displaying whilst sitting down and not having to jostle for position, wehn alogn comes mr and mrs matching jumpers who stood right in front of me… however also being 6ft and a bit I just end-up standing in front of them… childish I know but sometimes thats the only way.. and it always seem to be the people least interested in the show that cause the most probs… I can’t understand someone paying 20-odd quid to go to see an airshow and sitting there nattering and seemingly taking very little interest..I know we need these people to help support our pleasure(!) but can’t we have a special ‘knobheads’ enclosure equipped with greasy burgers and fizzy larger (coz thats what they’re really interested in)…
and its not just airshows either, I went to Santa-Pod today to watch Drag Racing (nothing to do with men in womens clothing!) and had the same thing…

ooh I feel quite worn out after that!!!

I’d also like to put a good word in for the Newark one… what swings it for me is that you can access the cockpit, something which I did this year after being a fan for years..

hey who was laughing at FS1E’s!!!! 😀
great fun on mine… twas a purple one not a ‘kenny roberts’ I’m afraid!

yep Morini’s are great little bikes.. mine was a trailie which was fun.. the sports are wonderful but I’m too well built for one of those… the engines are really nice as is the handling.. 350cc v-twin, belt drive.. spares are easy from North Leicester M/C’s (who also import/sell bikes), and they’ve got a good club…

well a couple from when I started work at LHR in 1978 (I was sent out to work at age 5 you understand!) was a Chinese Trident on a VIP flight which taxied right past where I was standing (worked at Field a/c which is now under T4).. and another night a Shorts 330 turned up outside in Hawaiian Airlines colours.. shorts seemed to use their customer a/c as ‘hacks’ !!

I’d better have a lay down after all that typing !
