Probably ours, she was up on wednesday.
Tom
You can add N1944A/43-15211 to that list too as she’s down to attend crew/weather/serviceability permitting 😉
Tom
Spars passed with flying colours last I heard, excuse the pun 😉

Hello folks,
As the C-47 is a military aircraft, for it to go onto the N-reg (Civil) it has to be called a DC3C-S1C3G or some such like.
It was a great day, I managed to go on Sunday, the weather actually behaved, the re-enactors really set the scene and it was really great to get the old girl back to her original field, needless to say the comments on the Youtube take-off videos summed up the general feeling 😉
The aircraft was a C-47 prior to being entered on the N-reg, she was the mount of 92nd TCS C.O. Maj. Cecil Petty which are the markings she wears today.
The lads flew her home to Oxford on Tuesday afternoon.

Taifun’s 108 is being used for the filming as well so I hear. Mr Von Denney has a new mount (G-ATBG) to get ‘shot down’ in at Blenheim for the Proms today. Hope the weather behaves.

Ok, Ok, I’m here Yak11Fan!
C-47 is off to Fairford for the weekend and the Spit is going great guns, 10″ wheels and brakes started to go on today not to mention trying to fix a few Stearman snags.
I had a quick look for the paint specs after work and will PM gallen with the results when I find them though I’m nigh on certain they were RLM colours from memory. Cheers.
Tom
She last flew in April 2001 if my memory works that far back 😉
Tom
Moose/Candyman?? just a guess.
Prior to that would’ve been the Haydon-Baillie machine I think.
Tom
Mike,
See the following link for details

Tom
Your guesses would be correct folks, she’s ‘lodging’ in the Dak hangar for a while.
Tom
Mark,
At present we’re just storing it. No future plans have been made as yet though the 11 was sent on her way to Hungary last friday by road.
Tom
‘213 as of a few weeks ago, Leg Ends is pushing it a bit but The Revival is a possibility….
Tom
😀 Well done mate, you had a cracking day for it too, I’ll wager that a beer or two was in order that evening 😉
Tom
Mark,
Was she ever on the airshow scene? as if I’m thinking of the same aircraft it came from Kermit as a project. He bought it from Harry Wherreat and stored her at Polk City but then bought the ex-Brian Woodford example as a ‘flyer’ in the UK so she never had any attempts at restoration prior to ARC getting hold of her.
