A10 Stick Top?
Bit late, but this one seems to come from a Pilatus PC-7 or PC-9. See

Others have engraved 53C4719 (Department Of The Air Force)

Since I´m looking for a suiting B8 für my Fiat G.91 instrument panel I only found out these differences of B8s yet:
Early ones with rounder red and black two-piece pushbuttons, later ones with red only one-piece pushbuttons and green dot/white arrow markings at the coolie hat
Same without hand rest plate for F-4 Phantom and F-15C
Same with ring for the connector (Starfighter)
Please correct me, if I´m wrong, also please add your infos.
Kind regards,
Herbert
Hi Batur
Nice to meet you again, yes, my submarine parts collection is growing, mostly Typ 205, Oberon and Trafalgar class stuff.
You´ve got a PM
Kind regards,
Herbert
Thanks Martyn
Yes, the Direction Indicator or however it´s called, the ASI and the RWR are from the navigator´s.
They don´t seem to appear often, so the substitute is welcome.
That´s the fun with collecting, you don´t know, what will happen. As example I once was very lucky getting an original Spitfire trim indicator, a flap valve and complete Blind Flying Panel for few Euros in Speyer´s Aerojumble.
The widow of a collector had no idea about them and the Luftwaffe collectors didn´t care “enemy´s stuff”. Their fault.
I sold them years ago to friends for their restorations. For a bargain, since the prices of them are getting more and more rediculous.
Kind regards,
Herbert
Since the Bucc project has to share my room´s space with Javelin, Fiat G.91 panel and my submarine parts collection, no garage or garden available, I would be more than happy if I might be able to get together the main panels.
Kind regards,
Herbert
Starter Kit
And here´s my current “panel”.
I know there are navigator´s instruments included, but I´m happy about this quite nice starter kit.
The horizon is actually from XW530, a gulf war veteran, the bearing indicator (radar warning reciever) from XV163.
Cheers,
Herbert

Great, that makes it clear! Now I´m ready to fly the Bucc…
Thanks again!
Do I understand right, they do different things? The below weapon trigger is AP OFF and the instinctive one will prevent structual damage cutting out the AP in a specific manner?
Won´t make sense to have two switches doing the same, since the one below the weapon trigger is in easier reach than the thumb operated one.
Herbert
Thanks a lot for these great infos.
So actually it says ACM 22579.
Hmm, what might be the difference between AP disengage and instinctive cut-out?
Kind regards,
Herbert
My collection and grip questions
Here´s my small collection:
B727, F-16A, Buccaneer and Javelin.
Currently I´ve several questions left regarding the Bucc one, please see:
http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?128279-Question-about-the-Buccaneer-grip-switches-and-engravings
Currently I´m looking for a regular, but bit later version of the B-8, suiting my Fiat G.91 mockup, which I´ll soon swap with my B727 panel.

No Fl number on it? The switch is a course selector Fl 22576.
Thanks, not bad at all, here´s even the suiting control grip 370854365846
F-104
Hello,
Here is my TF-104G forward cockpit main instrument panel.
Veeery nice, I´m interested in F-104 and have few instruments but don´t think about putting together complete panels, since they are getting that rare, that they are producing replicas.
Saw a complete F-104 upper panel like yours for sale at Speyer´s aerojumble, the guy asked EUR 3500,-
Currently there is a correct altimeter for sale:

Bf-109G Instrument Panel in Aluminium. I thought the originals were all wooden. Does anyone know if any “G” models did actually have aluminium instrument panels?
Sorry bit late. Yes, till G-4 they had aluminium. Nicely done but WHAT A PRICE.
I´d rather have gone for the Me410.

Quite an interesting and rare panel but to collect Luftwaffe stuff has gone very expensive these days.
By the way, if anyone has something Buccaneer panel related for sale…..
Kind regards,
Herbert
Thanks again, another big help from this great forum and their members.
ASI and bearing indicator, I guess it´s a kind of Radar Warning Reciever, are from the navigator´s panel, I might consider them, too.
The other parts I have already.
I´d like to collect Bucc as a long-term project, like the style of the Bucc/Lightning instruments, quite different from the predecessor´s.
Now with the grip, it makes much more sense.
Kind regards,
Herbert
Thanks Tony, happy that I´ve got it.
Seems, everything regarding Buccaneer instrument panel parts seem to be quite rare, as example haven´t seen the interesting ASI and NAV indicator at the market before.
Kind regards,
Herbert
