Hey, that’s nothing more than Sukhoi and personally Pogosyan trying to eat RSK MiG, dirty fighting.
Nothing interesting here, move along.

[dreary mod on]
Well, “simply swallow” in Russian is “Lastochka”. Kinda girlish in both languages.
Kasatka is “Hirundo rustled”, not “Hirundo daurlca”, not “Delichon urbica”, not “Riparia riparia”, not “Progne subis”, not other 120 species of swallows.
Ken, gotta say I am screwed up, since
Update.
Well, the final answer to this ornithological-zoological problem is:
kasatka is swallow
kosatka is killer whale

As language changes, kosatka slowly dissipate, mutating to “kasatka”.
Dunno for Aviation Forces, but their Secret Services were one of the best, the only ones we had a much trouble. The same for Army.
Excellent country, strong will, strong economics, strong national pride and traditions, sake they failed to USA influence.
There was a long thread a couple of years ago – on rec.aviation.military – in which some Russian-speakers pointed out that Kamov had spelled the name wrong and that it should actually be, in Russian, ‘KOSATKA’.
Not being a Russian speaker, I don’t understand the subtle differences, but the posters were adamant that name Kasatka was not correct Russian.
Then he’s an uneducated idiot or you’ve mixed up what he was saying.
There is no “Kosatka” in Russian at all.
“Kasatka” is “killer whale”.
Su-25 without a doubt.
The record was 165 shell-holes in 1 aircraft.

BTW, during 1982 KshU were launched:
2 ICBM UR-100 (15A20); RSM-50 from 667BD, and both UR-100 were intercepted by anti-missiles A-350R.

**** the international laws, if someone doesnt follow them, then why should anyone?
Noat bene – if you’re strong enough, than you can spit on UN, international laws and other things. You can bomb whatever you want – from Yogoslavia to Iraq, and no one ever remember about some “international laws”.
That how the world goes round.
And what’s the problem?
learn this by heart
This manoeuvres are Russia’s own business.
This manoeuvres are Russia’s own business.
This manoeuvres are Russia’s own business.
This manoeuvres are Russia’s own business.
Ivan Safranchuk, head of the Moscow office of the Center for Defense Information, a Washington-based think-tank
Uh-oh, a Washington based!
In other words – very common article that has nothing common with reality. Correct “Putin” on “Bush”, “manoeuvres” on “situation in Iraq” and you get the same article.

’82 KshU manoeuvres were absolutely realistic and straightforward – scorched USA, UK, and Europe, as well as 2/3 of Earth.
Russia’s combat aviation in ‘uncontrollable’ decline
All depends on mil base, region, etc. but that’s absolutely clear regarding sums wated on corruption.

Audit checks reveal financial wrongdoing in Russia army
22.01.2004, 11.42
MOSCOW, January 22 (Itar-Tass) – The Russian Audit Chamber has revealed financial abuses in the armed forces sized millions of dollars, the chamber’s chairman Sergei Stepashin said at a joint meeting of the Audit Chamber and the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday.
After checks by the Audit Chamber, a criminal case was opened on illegal deal of the Russian Defence Ministry on repayment of a debt of the Latvian Industrial Bank by deliveries of medicines to the Russian army.
“As a result, damage in the amount of 3.7 million dollars has been inflicted to the state,” Stepashin said.
The prosecutor’s office of the Russian Far Eastern Military District is investigating a case against a chief of one of bases who paid three million roubles to one of businesses.
Military prosecutors are also investigating a case of a chief of the provisions service of the North Caucasus Military District, who made serious violations in food procurement.
The checks of the Audit Chamber also revealed huge costs of transporting construction materials for the army across the whole country.
Stepashin cited the case of the Defence Ministry’s former chief financier, General Alexander Oleinik, where damage made 300 million dollars.
“This question has not been closed until now, as money has not been paid to the military so far,” Stepashin said.

No, it’s because people want to live in one country.
if u take this into account, then the US losses would seem to just be statistical certainties. maybe 10 helos are shot at, but one is unlucky to be hit at important places and goes down. given the helo losses the russians suffered in chechneya, i’d say the americans are doing quite well in terms of helos being downed. [/B]
Yep, very well – they suffered two times larger losses with two times better helos condition (I mean second war in Chechnya).

Read what I wrote, numbnuts, Russian crap is inferior to Western aircraft. I’ve no comment on them being inferior to current Chinese products. If they were than China wouldn’t be buying them.
😀 😀
I thought it was secret information!
You’ve got us, bah, you’ve got us!
