Hi guys, interesting thread.
I had IL2 for some years and tinkered with it when I had time. Then I bought 1946 last year, and everything changed….
All in all great fun, but be careful, it can take over your life! I think my squad are going to move to BoB when it comes out, it looks amazing. But there will still be a hardcore on IL2 for a while because it is generally reckoned to have the best engine for flight sims.

I am looking forward to BoB but the new aircraft effects and maps mean that there is a lot of life left in Il-2 (BoB will be a out a lot later than “2 weeks”):)
I would recommend anyone to join a squad and enjoy the best that is available now.
