Must’ve been a great view
Yep it was, had been doing some work experience in Hangar 5 at Dux for the few weeks before an airshow, where my and the other apprentices were being laughed at by the staff as we could only afford cheap cars, I told them i’d come back in something better!! 🙂

And there was me thinking i’ve seen tristars and 1-11’s recently flying?

And i’m proud to say my only internal flight in the UK OW-Duxford in a Hawker Tomtit 😀 😀 😀
Cheers for that Rob, nearest i’m ever going to get to a flight with the Boxkite 🙂 The ground was very wet after a torrential thunderstorm at three in the morning and it was one of the best displays i’ve seen. Lots of cheering from the crowd during the barnstorming and if the weather was kind why am I a nice shade of pink? 😀
Actually got two flying in the country and a belfair, both trainers have been here in the last couple of weeks, stunning little aircraft.
Great pictures Dan love the one of the Jungmann on take off hope to see more from the rest of the shows later in the year
Great photos Septic
Fantastic pictures love the sight of the F2B head on, and the tied together formation we couldn’t have had much better weather really (still putting the second bottle of after sun on, gonna have a great tan on arms, face and neck only!)
Hope to see you all at the rest of the shows this year.
I’d say looking at the weather, then Shuttleworth is the better bet but then i’m biased ain’t I? 😉 Any one else coming?
There was room in the back of the jeep next to Rory, we’re still thawing out now though. BTW has any one found a copy of missiles with roundels since 1935 by Putnam?
Oag, you are obviously not a very good judge of character 😀 Good to meet new forumites, and hear slagging off of others :diablo:
Both museums were excellent offering very interesting private tours, but we could have wished for warmer weather as the chattering teeth of the jeep passengers drowned out the guides!!
Any way here are a few pictures before MOTF (what sort of user name is that any way? ) and Robbo get there.
1. Control Tower at Twinwood Farm
2. Next Forum meet vehicle?
3. And our Jeep at Harrington.
Bump
Hi myself and Fergy1 will also be making an appearance on saturday to pre flight the jeep for the forum meet on the sunday. So we will be recogniseable as the two people swearing about the fact it doesn’t run properly and that the price of proper 4 star has gone up again!!! 🙂 (at last fill up it was 104p per litre, and if we’re lucky if it does 20mpg 😮 )
Kick off is provisionally 10:00 just in time to grab bacon sarnies 😀 and for me and Fergy1 to extract the jeep from hangar 4. Approx departure time half ten ish? Arrival at twinwoods will be sometime after everyone else has got there! Forty Mph is best cruising speed for us, sorry if you get stuck behind. 😮
Hello everyone again, just a quick reminder for next sunday, who’s coming?
