F-2 huh? wow. I guess it is pretty bad when i live on this island and do not even know about this exercise. So tell me, what is the difference between the F-2 and the F-16? they look exactly alike….

there is always a chance but the longer the time goes by the greater the chances are that they will not find anyone. even though we live in a hot climate people can still get hypothermia while in the water and then of course you have to think about sharks too because there are lots of sharks in these water but at this point all we can do is pray for them and there families.

B-52 crash in Guam
As of 1800 local Guam time, there has not been any survivors found from this morning crash. There are many ships in the area searching the waters for possible survivors and there are also some P-3’s flying down from Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa.
B-52 crash in Guam
As for the crash here in Guam, as per the local news there were six crew member on board the B-52, but as of now there have been no survivors found. the search is being conducted about 30 miles northwest of Guam. it is ashamed because i see them almost ever single night as they come in to land at Anderson Air Force Base. it is has been a really rough year so far for the Air Force.
well out of all the fighters you posted pictures of, my favorite is the Gripen. My all time favorite would have to be the Su-33. i think the U S Navy should have gone with this instead (but you know this would NEVER happen) of the ****ty Hornet!!!
looks have nothing to do with……….
Are you sure about the MiGs been shot down by Phoenix? As far as I know, no American operated AIM-54 has ever successfully destroyed a target in real combat.
Iranian F-14s are said to have shot down many Iraqi aircraft in the 1980s, using Phoenix, including MiG-25s and a Tu-22 BLINDER.
yes it is true. i was out on a ship (the USS Oldendorf DDG-972) when this incident occurred. there were two Mig-25 flying in i believe in the southern no fly zone. two F-14 from the (Carl Vinson) shot one AIM-54 a piece and two F-15’s shot one slammer a piece. all four missiles missed their targets not because they did not work but when the Americans engages the targets they were already 90 miles BVR. the two Foxbats tucked tail and made a dash for it but in doing so ran out of gas and crashed so the Americans chalked up two bogies.
there was no F/A-18 Hornets in this engagement. Two F-14’s and two F-15’s. the Tomcats fired two AIM-54’s and the F-15, two AIM-120’s all four missing their intended targets (two Mig-25’s) that were already some fifty miles away when missiles were released. anyway the two Foxbats ran out of gas trying to get away from the missiles so we chocked up two kills from it!

Commander of the Carrier Strike Group Five Battle Force Seventh Fleet, Rear Admiral Richard Wren, is disputing statements made by a Russian general who claimed that two Russian bombers managed to conduct a flyover of Guam. Rear Admiral Wren spoke with the media on board the USS Kittyhawk, which is participating in the massive military exercise Valiant Shield.
He told a contingent of international reporters that included KUAM News that the Tussian TU-95 bombers didn’t even come close to Guam or Valiant Shield. The Russian general went so far as telling the press that he the bombers presence in our corner of the world was reportedly part of an exercise to illustrate the Kremlin’s military power.
According to Admiral Wren, the incident did not interfere with the ongoing Valiant Shield exercise off of Guam.
well i do know there are many type of jets out there so my question is do the Russians have an EP type Bear bomber. This is a huge exercise going so maybe they were just testing out response? their base was 13 hours flight from where they came and too me that seems like a long trip just to fly around! where i am located at is about ten miles shy of Anderson AFB and it is neat because when all these aircraft come back from their missions they flew parrellel to my house and i have seen some pretty neat jets and just the other a B-2 flew over. i have never seen one of them fly, just on display at air shows.
