The aircraft stalled but the passengers, all male, escaped without serious injury
although one allegedly lost his hat !
The other pic is taken on Birkdale Sands aerodrome which is at Southport. The building in the background is the Palace Hotel in Birkdale (now demolished).

Banupa. I expect that the Prentice you refer to was ‘Pretty Louise’
G-AOPL which was owned by Tom Newman. He had it from 1961 to 1963.
I remember going to Southend in it.
Steve Bond.
Thanks for the shot of Argosy at Bodo. I’ve looked in my log book and found that on 26th March 1965 I was crewing XP442 to Bodo. We took off at22.30
and 5hrs and 15 minutes later landed on the ice covered runway at Bodo.
We left there on the 28th aboard XP441 and went to Gardemoen and on to West Raynham and finally Benson. I can’t recall the switch of aircraft though.
Cheers.
See post 7 above.
Laviticus. The first is Arthur Lowe and the second is Private Godfrey.

Re the Harvard. I would suspect it would be ” Carly”, the mount of Chris
Belhouse, the Chairman of the club.

A 757 and a JP. Iron Maiden rides again!!
I don’t know if you have noticed the two circular cut outs on the screen on G-AJKK. The were put there to facilitate the taking of air to ground shots which was also something that HT did.
For those who are old enough to remember having their photo taken at school where the whole school lined up in front of the building and usually,if it was a big school, you would be teired. The photographer would set up in front and slowly pan the camera along the line of pupils. The finished product looked like a constant ‘flat’ line whereas the set up had been in a gentle curve.
This was a Tempest special. In fact I would think he has been in every school in the UK.:)
To follow on fom Pobjoys post ,if I recall correctly the tree hanging Gemini was
G-AISM belonging to Horace Tempest who was based in Hayle. He also had a
Messenger G-AJKK, both of which I was priviledged to fly. The were originally at Tollerton until HT moved his business to the South West. He also had a J3 cub but I can’t remember that registration.
Inky. Who was your uncle? I have access to a lot of Argosy stuff which may be of interest but not if he is involved with some of the Argosy organisations.
If he hasn’t been too active in keeping in touch then they will be of interest.
