CY-1 was developed by a new aviation company Beijing SuperWing Technology Research Institute Co. established sometime around 1997. The company so far has produced only one radio controled model. They went to Zhuai airshow to find investors. PLA “was very interested” but it seems, that guys from Beijing were unable to find money for further development. To challenge with Chengdu and Guizhou state-owned gigants is too hard. This company only sells designs, now it is unable to build them. Last one when I heard about CY-1 was late 2002.

Regarding to LFC-16, they share a lot of parts – it is closer to the operational version than CY-1, which is experimental plane. I still search for that info for my next web update.

From where did you get this idea? Just look on the current situation in Latin America. Maybe except Chile, they are all going to buy russian weapons, because they are better, cheaper and politically less risky. One for all – just compare capabilities of AIM-120 AMRAAM vs. R-77. Latest versions of R-77 you can use as self-defence against fired enemy rockets. That does not have any equivalent in the “west”.

My web is in Slovak language 🙂 Yes, as was posted, it is digital KA2 camouflage developed primarily for Jordanian F-16. This picture is only ilustration, but soon will be applied also on real aircrafts. It should be used also on cars, guns or buildings…

Plus, with the F-35 you get the added benefit of stealth capability.

Plus, with the F-35 you get the full addiction to USA. You will never be able to add the new weapons without US approval, etc.
