Project director Ric Gillespie said: ‘Once we have a home for the aircraft we can proceed with getting the necessary permissions from the local government, finalising the recovery plan and raising the all-important funding.

So basically nothing will be done…. In the highly unlikely event that The International Group for Hysterical Aviation Rumours do manage to dig this plane up.. it will be their FIRST recovery in their entire existence…

The easiest(??) way to explain a cleco:
The end that goes through the skin looks like this: JIL… The I (which is tapered… I think?) is attached the other end. The J&L are sprung together, the I keeps them apart. When you squeeze it the J&L spring together allowing it to pass through the hole. When the I is released it forces the J&L apart & they grab the backside of the skin & hold it together.

Did that make any sense  They are actually very simple, just not so easy to describe…

Newtown happens and the 2nd amendment should be repealed or altered. Newtown children 19 of 20 white. Chicago children mostly black. Media silent about Chicago violence. WHY?????

Chicago: 446 school age children shot so far this year (2012) with strongest gun laws in country – media silent

    By Clash Daily / 19 December 2012 /
The cesspool known as Chicago probably has the toughest gun laws in the country, yet despite all the shootings, murders, and bloodshed, you never hear a peep about this from the corrupt state run media. In Chicago, there have been 446 school age children shot in leftist utopia run by Rahm Emanuel and that produced Obama, Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, etc. 62 school aged children have actually been killed by crazed nuts in Chicago so far this year. So why isn’t this news worthy? Is it because it would embarrass those anti second amendment nuts who brag about Chicago’s tough gun laws? Is it because most of the kids who were shot and killed were minorities? Or is it because the corrupt media doesn’t want to show Chicago in a bad light?

Sorry, to come back to this again but I really want to understand it and the Federal Firearms Licences seem to be for those retailing (or even manufacturing) guns.

If I, as a private individual, wanted to buy a semi-automatic pistol or rifle in the United States (and I understand that different states will have different laws) I could walk into Walmart (say) and buy one over-the-counter with only ‘background checks’ and / or a ‘cooling-off’ period? I wouldn’t need any sort of Firearms Licence?

If I then wanted to sell those guns privately to another private individual I could do that without any sort of Firearms Licence or background checks of the buyer?

The C&R FLL is for collectors of old weapons (see previous link). Where I live you can’t buy any guns at Walmart. All guns in Califailure have a 10 day waiting period in stores here & you can only buy 1 pistol every 30 days. unless you have a CoE.

12318. (a) Commencing February 1, 2011, the delivery or transfer of ownership of handgun ammunition may only occur in a face-to-face transaction with the deliverer or transferor being provided bona fide evidence of identity from the purchaser or other transferee. A violation of this section is a misdemeanor.
    ….

    (c) Subdivision (a) shall not apply to or affect the deliveries, transfers, or sales of, handgun ammunition to any of the following:

    (1) Authorized law enforcement representatives of cities, counties, cities and counties, or state and federal governments for exclusive use by those government agencies if, prior to the delivery, transfer, or sale of the handgun ammunition, written authorization from the head of the agency employing the purchaser or transferee, is obtained identifying the employee as an individual authorized to conduct the transaction, and authorizing the transaction for the exclusive use of the agency employing the individual.
    (2) Sworn peace officers, as defined in Chapter 4.5 (commencing with Section 830) of Title 3 of Part 2 who are authorized to carry a firearm in the course and scope of their duties.
    (3) Importers and manufacturers of handgun ammunition or firearms licensed to engage in business pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code and the regulations issued pursuant thereto.
    (4) Persons who are on the centralized list maintained by the Department of Justice pursuant to Section 12083.
    (5) Persons whose licensed premises are outside this state who are licensed as dealers or collectors of firearms pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code and the regulations issued pursuant thereto.
    (6) Persons licensed as collectors of firearms pursuant to Chapter 44 (commencing with Section 921) of Title 18 of the United States Code and the regulations issued pursuant thereto whose licensed premises are within this state who has a current certificate of eligibility issued to him or her by the Department of Justice pursuant to Section 12071.
    (7) A handgun ammunition vendor.
    (8) A consultant-evaluator, as defined in subdivision (s) of Section 12001.
