The cops are saying “He was reaching for a weapon”… this was after he’d been arrested, cuffed, searched & left laying the ground…Maybe he’d hidden a gun under a handy paving slab…

You don’t need a tube anywhere near as complicated as that, a piece of 3-4in dia PVC from HomeBase would work.
& yup, they do the buy back every year. It a great way from gang members to get rid of guns that have been used in crimes & get paid to do so.

If nothing else, Beech (and the GA industry as a whole) learned a lot about composites with the Starship…and the Premier uses “second (third…fourth? 🙂 ) generation” technology to make it lighhter.

That small issue of corrosion because CF & Aluminum don’t like each other was overlooked by more than just Beech….

Remember that the threats of legal actions came about when light was thrown onto some actions that were potentially dubious.

*Potentially dubious*?? That’s where the bar is set for threats of lawsuits?

They had a *gun buy back* here this week. Some bloke turned in a launch tube for a shoulder launched anti tank missile. Head of LAPD was shown on TV displaying the *rocket launcher*
    Cops gave him a $200 gift card…
Apparently no one told them you can buy the (totally useless) surplus launch tubes for $25 at the local swap meet…

As for the National Guard, living in C.A. you will be aware that one of their TANKS was stolen, and ran riot in San Diego, the driver was finally stopped, when a man opened the turret hatch and shot him.If they can’t secure weapons such as a Tank, what other weapons can be stolen so apparently easy for some other nutter to steal from the N.G. and go on the rampage?.

One question keeps recurring on these discussions:
How many innocent young and old people have to die before these doughwhackers come to their senses? Is there a magic number that will make them think, or does their ridiculous “god given right to bear arms and play cowboys” over ride all common sense?
All the terrorist organisations around the world, will never be as successful at killing Americans as are Americans playing with guns.

How long have you spent in the US?
