So, what can 5 bikers do?
Well I guess 1 could render first aid, 1 could nip up the road to warn the traffic approaching one way and 1 could nip down the road for the other. This leaves 2 to remove the wrecked bike to the side of the road and call the ambulance. Whether the guy is considered a muppet or not, should not be a prerequisite for getting assistance.:rolleyes:Just because he is moving doesn’t mean he’s not injured.
Next time…..stop.
One more time:
Lead bike missed the wreck, bikes 3 thru 6 stopped, bike 2 (me) chased down the lead bike.
By the time the bike behind me had stopped the guy was already on his feet picking the bike up. He had it on it’s wheels & out of the road in SECONDS. The only danger at that point was the pillocks in the minivan who parked in the middle of the road to rubberneck.

what exact relavence has that got to do with anything ?? yes on L plates
so which do you call a biker ??
The ones who have passed their test…. π
ZRX61, I might have missed something in all of this, what are you riding??
The bloke coming the other way probably felt luckey afterwards.
A.
Probablt took a while to get the seat out of his butt… I was on my ZRX1100
fair enough yiou can’t teach manners !!
It’s got FA to do with manners
ZRX. Rick, what were you doing a Vid for?. Surley this is an inducement for the other riders with you to ride faster, as it would make for better filming?.
And why was the rider doing a “U” turn on a solid line on his side of the road, seems it’s like it is over here, no Coppers about, lets go mad.;)
Jim.
Lincoln .7
Rule #1: NEVER ride for the camera…
Which parts of your description do you think the lawyers would be interested in if this had been a more serious accident?
They’d have gone after the pillock on the Gixer that started the entire event.

So your basic problem is that to have ridden past shows a lack of courtesy and consideration…
…courtesy and consideration for a guy on a powerful bike, pushing it to and (apparently) beyond his ability on a public road?
Actually all he did was lose his balance. The video doesn’t really show it, but that’s a fairly steep road. As I came around the corner he was just starting to pull out & do an illegal u-turn (no crossing over solid double yellows). When he saw me he grabbed a handful of front brake & fell on his ass.
He didn’t see the guy on the KTM until he flashed by in front of him, but by that time he was already on his butt.
The guy on the KTM confronted the Suzuki guy at the parking area just up the hill after they got themselves sorted out. The guy on the KTM was hauling butt, but he managed to aim for the only open space he could see. He could have maybe tightened his line & passed behind the fallen bike but he didn’t have much time to think, just react.
I could have passed either side of it, but when KTM guy went to his left, I had to go to mine.
The point is that if the guy on Suzuki hadn’t have seen me & grabbed his brake when he did, the KTM would have either hit him broadside on & my video would have been full of flying plastic, or he would have had to go further to his left which would have put him over the edge & into the canyon about 200ft below.

Looks like my other assumption was correct. You REALLY don’t have the first frigging clue.
One more time:
Explain the difference between all 5 of us stopping & only 4?

i’ve only got 8 months mot on my bike it will take longer than that to explain courtessy to you !!
least you could have done was stop to make sure no one behind you hit him because thier view of him was obscured by you
be honest all that mattered to you was filming your quick winding ride someone who could have been injured ( you had no real idea if he was or not ) in accidents adrenalin release does strange things and can take an hour to die off ( i have got up and walked with a smashed up ankle with bones popping out after a bike accident !! )
you can make all the excuses you want but all it boils down to is selfishness and all that mattered was what you wanted to do
the fact four out of five stopped is all the proof you need the guy behind you didn’t ride on and use the excuse 3 had stopped for him anyway !!
Seriously? Are you THAT bloody clueless? One more time: Explain why my stopping would make ANY difference to the event? The other 4 were right behind me. Try watching the video AND pay attention, the guy was already getting up as I went round him.
There were 6 of us riding together. The mongfoolery happened between me & the lead rider. Neither I, nor any of the 4 other guys are telepathic. How do you suggest we let the lead know that 2/3rd of the bikes are now stopped?
How the hell is it that in your world my bike is wider that a Gixer 1000 is long?
How is my being in the left lane going to obscure a bike laying in the right lane?
Did you notice that the bike only moved about 6ft between muppetboy running out of talent & his frame slider snapping off?
You’re jumping to a bunch of baseless assumptions here that just make you appear to be a complete blithering idiot.:p
Here’s me making an assumption: I’m assuming you only watched the 1.35 video & not the full length version?
the fact is there was no considderation for a downed biker others would call the video poster a pillock for his speeding activities ( there is no safe speeding on an open to the public road ) just because you have been lucky doesn’t mean it won’t be you next time
What utter ********. Speed in itself isn’t dangerous at all, inappropriate speed however is. but you already knew that, didn’t you?
& if it is me *next time*, the guys I ride with have been told to post any video of it ASAP.

whilst it may no be compulsory it shows the standard of curtessy to other humans still i guess it would be difrent if it was him that rode past the exceptionaly experienced and in the right you
he was another biker and even if you didn’t like his antics a quick stop and asking “you ok knobhead ?? ” is a common courtessy
Explain the difference between all 5 of us stopping instead of 4? 1 of us had to catch the guy ahead & I was closest.

Well speaking as a motorbicyclist myself, I think I would have stopped.
Non of these people seem to be moving particularly fast though, but I would have checked.A.
Not sure what difference it would have made if all 5 of us stopped instead of just 4… & now ya know why people don’t get too carried away on that road at weekends.

What was the oncoming biker doing on that side of the road; did he βbale outβ of the previous corner?
He was trying to avoid the muppet falling off the Suzuki.
