Collings B25 also fragged an engine this week
ZRX61….That H-21 in Arizona seems to have a non standard main undercarriage and a vertical exhaust pipe….self driving or towed ??
i recall there were a number of H-21s in the yards in thst area but most if not all now gone.
It was towed to a friends place, then the deal fell through & it was towed back. It’s in Rosamond Ca.
ZRX, I forget which flavour of Ardrox the stripper is. I threw the drum away last week seeing as we emptied it, I’ll look next weekend if it’s still in the skip. Good luck with the 33!
It’s Worf’s former T33. Last time I worked on it there was lots of blood. I was standing on the left wing next to the front cockpit, my truck was parked by the right tip tank. Somehow my blood ended up on the opposite side of my truck almost 30ft away. There was a drill involved…
Local yard… been trying to catch someone actually on the premises now for about 5 years…

Remind me, whats the Pepto pink paint stripper? is it Ardrox 2330, 2526, 2971 or summat else? I’ve been asked if I want to strip a T33…
Several people on FB now telling Thom he needs to put a truck kill marking on his P40. All that video needed was a victory roll at the end 🙂
The only thing I have to add is that I’m pretty sure I recognize the gal in the brown boots at the 1.51 mark…She looks quite good from the front too 🙂
There’s another one down in LA this evening at Compton Airport. Details are a bit sketchy, there’s one fatality & there was also a Cessna involved. At this point they aren’t sure of the sequence of events & one source mentioned it may have been a midair. T28 looks intact on the gear & minor fire damage.
Edit:
T28 was on approach & hit a Cessna. Cessna is all burned up. Both aircraft on the airfield, Fatality appears to have been in the Cessna.
Edit #2: Cessna was on the runway when it was hit
The general opinion is the Canberras never made it to Chile, although the Nimrod R1 probably operated out of San Felix.
Heard a well known former F4 pilot at Dx hint that RAF Phantoms were in Chile. Not sure they’d have managed to keep that under wraps all this time though.
After he hit the trees, he went through a concrete wall next to the road.

Looks as though gear has been selected down at some stage, prop tip substantially intact
Not seeing any evidence of it sliding in that pic. (although TBF, I haven’t had my morning coffee yet)
Someone finally got pics of F117’s flying around Tonopah this week.
Edwards F35 in the canyons…
