Yes, I am serious on that. :eagerness:
There is a book on the E-99 (in fact not only on it but about all the ISR versions of the Embraer EMB-145 bizjet), released in late 2012. It is the FIRST title on this subject to date, called “Embraer EMB-145 ISR-Program, Versions, Operators And Employment” and can be found here:

There is a quite recent report on the Venezuelan Air Force published by Combat Aircraft Monthly earlier this year: http://www.combataircraft.net/view_issue.asp?ID=4805 :eagerness:
Hi all ! There is a couple of recent reports on the Vietnamese Air Force published by the Air Forces Monthly: http://www.airforcesmonthly.com/view_issue.asp?ID=979 (December 2011, about the Vietnamese Flankers) and http://www.airforcesmonthly.com/view_issue.asp?ID=3138 (March 2012, about the Vietnamese AF as a whole).
I have read that Gennadij Osipovich called “zaputskal” after he had launched “Alkali” missiles against the KAL 007 in 1983…
The Brazilian Air Force C-130 Hercules travel to there in a regular basis, as the Brazilian govt has a scientific base installed in Antarctica.
Yes, the story goes he vas hit by the fragments from one of the warheads of a SAM-2 system..
Thanks
As much as I know the Safronov’s Farmer was hit by a second Guideline SAM salvo as the first salvo of them hit the U-2 earlier (in true only one of those missiles worked, as the launcher fastly turned to follow the Dragon Lady, then disconnecting some power cables of the launcher. The other two missiles did not leave their launcher) which resulted in a cloud of debris. For its turn such debris appeared as chaffs released by the target in the radar screens, which resulted in the already mentioned further salvo that shot down the MiG-19 piloted by Safronov. π
Armed MiG-31B, note cannon:
The superb Foxhound is christened “Sergei Safronov”, in honour of the young MiG-19 driver who was shot down during the efforts to kill the U-2 piloted by Francis Gary Powers. π
I guess we won’t see an F-22 vs MiG-31 scenario, then π
I completely agree with you, as the “enemy” here is the hijacked aircraft…;)
Does anyone knows what it is doing as it flying again this morning over Waddington? I am very curious to know the possible reason for that…Many thanks in advance!;)
ZUYEV
Thank you very much, wieesso!!!!! ;););););)
Dear EdLAw, I am an aviation researcher from Brazil and the FLIR you mentioned is installed inside the AT-29B’s lugagge only. The AT-29B is the biplace version of ALX, and as the FLIR is not ejectable, the only external loads permitted are a pair of underwing fuel tanks, while the weapons are limited to a pair of Browning .50 machine guns inside its wings. The speed and load factors are 280 knots (Mach 0.56) and -2,5 a 5,0 G respectively. I hope have solved your doubts;););)
SΓ©rgio “ZUYEV” Santana.
It’s IRST.
Does anyone here know its designation? Thanks again π
Japanese F-15 have IRST
.
Does anyone here know the designation of such device? Is it a FLIR or an IRST? Thanks in advance;);)
