Hi James
Could do with 2 of these for ours 🙂
John
Excellent update Blue!
Any leads on replacement rudder components or are you going to have to fabricate the missing parts?
John

That’s awesome Paul, thanks for that:)
How’s that Jag coming along?

Hi Paul et al
many thanks for the replies. Paul, totally forgot that you have a panel and the info you’ve given us is invaluable. Can I ask how exactly is the Bowden cable attached to the square section rod at the back of the handle. ours has a slight groove in it but no real indication of how the cable is actually fixed to it.
cheers all
John
Hi James
we looked at that photo yesterday and we think it’s either the prototype or a very early Mk I. A further photo of the stbd side of the bomb aimers station shows the splitter box with the 2 Bowdens coming from it
John
Hi James
As far as we can ascertain, the handle fits into a conduit which pulls on a Bowden cable which feeds into a splitter operating a further 2 Bowden cables which operate the two 16 pole bomb selector switch panels at the bomb aimers station. What we’re after really is details of the conduit and mounting on the dashboard that the handle fits into as it’s not too apparent how this actually pulls the cable. A parts call out and any associated Vol 3 type diagrams would aid us greatly in our understanding of the system. Of course if anyone has any of the required parts that would be even better 🙂
cheers
John
Hi Cees
Apologies, the gauge wasn’t with the ones we received unfortunately 🙁
John
Hi Cees
Might have something soon. Once I get my hands on it I’ll confirm if it’s luminous or not
Got it James, many thanks
John
Hi James
Any chance of a copy for the Project as well 🙂
cheers
John
Hi all
A productive day today, with the first of the two control column fwd stop assys more-or-less completed. Each one has more 20 separate parts comprising of cast, folded and extruded sections. The only remaining parts needed for this one (1st pilots’) are 4 off lugs which the control column lock attaches to. One more to go then it’s the 4 off footrest assemblies to make
John
Excellent report, many thanks for posting
