    @ IRAF_PILOT

Apparently, the iraqi air force seems to be interested in getting second hand french Gazelles (some rumours say about 50 helos). Do you have any information about that?

    The link (in french):http://www.ttu.fr/francais/Articles/gazelled’occasio.html

this deal(Gazelles helicopters and Leclere tanks) in order to cancel the Iraqi depts for France, but the new Iraqi government(PM. Norri Al-Malikee) refused to get any used arms.

close pic for AH-1Z Super Cobra shown the magnificent new design with longer stub wings, but I can’t understand why the engineers kept the old gun M197 3-barreled 20mm with 750 rounds only,I like the M230 30mm cannon with 1200 rounds as the AH-64
but thanks to Lockheed Martin for new target sight system (Hawk eye) day/night, 360 in azimuth, and +45/-120in elevation, with 14km detection range(while the old one of AH-1W 5km detection range), and weight of this turret 105kg

never, the primary test programme for any aircraft shows the failing in every stages of flight, cruise speed,M speed,so you can see the first batch of MiG-29 contain ventral fins like the Su-27,but after several flights the engineers removed these fins because it’s useless.
even the F-16 have two ventral fins, and the fins of F-22 larger than any US fighter today.
for the MiG-23 the ventral fin very important when the wings fully back because the fighter taller than the wing span,in this case.

    thanks

By the way does anyonw know how to save those pictures? I got a firefox extension to save Flickr images but it doesn’t work with foto.mail.ru

Damn; that is one ugly plane! Not ugly in a good way like the A-10 or the Su-25 but ugly in the worst way. It looks pregnant with the extra fuel tank bulging from its belly. Really disappointed in this bird. Looks like something that belongs back in the 1960s and not today!

ugly or beauty design, capability of strike it’s the choice, and it’s cheap for some african countries
