Thank you. Any news on how the South Korean evaluation team felt about the Typhoon?
It appears that this visit is related to the evaluation of the typhoon by Koreans. They are studying their operational use, maintenance, etc., but at the moment there is no official conclusion (that I have heard).

Regarding anti-shipping, in Spain this missions are carried by F18s and Harrier harpoons at the moment and i wouldn´t discard f18s Taurus being use in that role as well. For the typhoon the prioirties in integration for the close future seem to be METEOR and TAURUS missiles, and then very likely harpoon or other antiship missile, but i don´t see this happening before 2015 since spanish confidence in F18 for this roles is huge and there are some budgetary limitations at the moment.
Spanish Harriers don´t use the Harpoon. Only Maverick. It was a project to use the Penguin, but no enought money for that.

I recall reading many yrs ago (cant remember which soviet transport, think it may have been the armed version of the coaler?) that bombs could be hung via the overhead crane system and then dropped out the back?
Cant say i ever noticed the hardpoints on the IL-76 till now…. how on earth did them aim them? funnier still would be putting some UB-32 rocket pods and go strafing in a big transport….. I think the noise alone at low level would frighten most people into running away

There are moro transport planes with bombs, CASA C-212 for example. Or this of an argentinian C-130 on the Falklans War

Like many Soviet transport, the Il-76 also offers the possibility of bombing missions. There are four pylons (two under each wing) with a capacity of 500 kg per each hardpoint (not all the Il-76 have this possibility)
