    Why do airlines bow to pressure from the US. If Boeing want the business then surely they should cut their prices like the way Airbus has done recently. No airline should be pressured into buying from a particular country. If anything the US should put pressure on Boeing to cut prices.
    Just my view nothing against Boeing or Airbus.

    Yeah well done SkyCruiser. I would have taken the 744 as well. I would love to do the long haul flights as you would get to see most of the world.

    It was of their opinion that they fell that distance whether the piolet done it delib or not. Knowing the Celtic fans (Sorry Bhoy) he probably exagerated a bit. I know if I was in that position I would have s**t a brick. But I have know this guy for a long time and I know when he is telling porkies. I dont condone any sort of trouble on a plane but he did say that it was something out of nothing and the cabing crew went well over board.

    Although I am a Rangers fan I am going to stick up for the Celtic fans today. I know one of the guys on the plane and he said that yes someone was smoking in the toilet and the captain had said that someone was smoking but no one knew who it was. The stewards were very rude. At Cardiff they were excorted off the plane by armed police and 4 were detained for matters as yet undisclosed. The average age on the aircraft was approx 45. I find it hard to beleive that they would have caused trouble. What the news fails to tell you is that the aircraft failed to start twice and plummeted between 5000 and 10000 feet in midair with no explanation from the flight deck. I am not one to condone violence or any trouble mor so on a plane but this story that the news are telling is well off the mark. Now I will probably get stick for sticking up for Celtic fans but I beleive everyone deserves true justice.

    Although I am in Edinburgh, Heathrow sounds good to me as you can cheap flights from just about anywhere to there. Only a thought.

    Its always a sad day when airlines start failing but even more of a sadder day if I lose my holiday because of it.

    Just love the SAA colour scheme. Even for an all white aircraft the tail colours really top it of. Cant wait to see the A340-600 in full colour scheme. Thanks for the pics Andrew

    I was 29.5kg on KLM, JHB to Ams and got away with it. I guess just try to start up a conversation with the checkin clerk/ess and you should be okay.

    Most aircraft always look good in the SAA colours. I thought we would have seen an A340 in the SAA colour scheme because I believe Lufthansa were giving them a couple. Anyone got any pics?
