I like barriers especially when placed with the photographer in mind.
I’ve been to airshows in the USA where there were no barriers. Hell of a job to get a good clear photo with people milling around in front.

I’ve also been at a US fly in where aircraft taxied around the crowd, and a visit to a US Military Helicopter base where the helicopters hovered passed, just a few feet away. Was kind of special.

Until we have a common sense approach to injuries i.e. “it’s your fault you walked into the bright orange prop” then we have to have barriers or loose our flyins and shows to the lawyers.

This isn’t a question of having the computers fly the plane.
Give the pilots 100% control while the aircraft is in safe, controlled flight.
But, have an emergency system that, should the aircraft depart from controlled flight (as far as I am aware a stall should never happen in a passenger airliner) the computer cuts in and restores control.

I presume you are a vegetarian?

In that case I genuinely admire that you practice what you preach.

    Moggy

Just because you eat meat does that automatically mean you should turn a blind eye to the killing of all animals even when it’s not proven that to kill badgers will actually help?

Why stop at badgers. Lets kill everything that gets in our way.

Why is it that when man causes the demise of a species we go out of our way to create preservation orders, preservation areas, outlaw hunting and generally try and save it. But when an animal is successfull we brand it a pest and go out of our way to kill it.
Perhaps if we managed the countryside more ethically nature would keep the ballance.
