I’m assuming that they are returning to the lessors. They are all flight planned to SNN. Could it be they are using SNN as a tech stop before heading Stateside?
Yep, according to the comments text on FR24 and their twitter feed they are returning to the lessors.
Blackpool airport had/hasmany football team flights. Arsenal, Chelsea, Norwich and Portsmouth are some of the teams who have flown in. Interestingly, they are not always for matches at Blackpool either, some of them have been for matches at Wigan!
I was fortunate enough to meet the Red Arrow pilots at Southport airshow 4 weeks ago and spent 5 minutes talking to the pilot involved today and got a nice photograph as a reminder of the day. Today’s events bring home the danger involved for the pilots (whether for our pleasure or our protection) and that none of us know what is around the corner.
2 Typhoons were scrambled to intercept a BMI baby flight from Prague to Manchester earlier this month (18th Jan I think) after radio contact was lost. According to reports radio contact was restored before they intercepted.
Couple of other interesting items on their website on the Twitter section I noticed. Seems some of their flights to RAF Valley have been going to Chester instead (I assume Hawarden?). Also, there are several references to difficulties traveling to London and they mention flying with them to London Gloucester Airport as an alternative?!
