Great shots!
I guess this particular Herc was the wingless airframe on the north side ramp. They must have re-assembled it in the airpark?
I believe that this is the second CC-130 to have been retired from service, the first possibly being the airframe entombed in the new Hercules Training Facility at Trenton.
FYI….There will a Bomber Command cairn dedication tomorrow at the museum and from what I’ve heard a flyover by Lancaster FM213.
Regards,
Even though it’s been through a fire, spending time in the desert probably slowed corrosion.
It looks like a great start!
Thanks for the update!
I believe the current nose blister was fabricated for the City of Toronto to replace the original while FM104 was on the pedestal.
The new seat looks great Geoff!
I see the FN5 turret in the background, it’s coming along quite nicely too!
Regards,
which halibag is that from?
NA337 – National Air Force Museum of Canada
I don’t think I’ve posted this one before…..

It’s a radar antenna control handle.
Would look good next to this?
Cheers
Cees
Looks like an electric turret motor….
Thanks Darrell,
Any idea how compete the mid upper is? Is it a FN50?

Halibag tail stinger…..

I believe this clipping is from the Toronto Daily Star…..

Two from my collection….

Thanks guys,
The dimensions between the front/back mounts match closely to the .303 Browning.
I’m wondering if it could be something similar to a PBY bow gun, but for a lighter caliber gun? The photo below shows four .50″ guns mounted through the bow plate of a PBY.
It’s the only thing close (sea, land & air) that I’ve found so far.

Mike
I’m not sure either. It could possibly be a deck gun off a boat.
Hi Oliver,
I’m not sure where the position indicators were located in the aircraft.
I’ve have a few photos posted on the tread below showing the transmitter unit fitted to the main valve from a FN82 turret.
