There’s also a mirco switch in the FN50 Mid Upper, it’s a part of the gun firing interrupter mechanism.
I checked post #1260 & don’t recognize any of those parts.
Regards,
Mike
There’s no ammunition feed system in the FN5. I can’t see why it would have a micro switch.
The FN121 rear turret has a micro switch that activates the electric motor of the servo (ammunition) feed when the trigger(s) are squeezed. A fuse box is also mounted adjacent to it.
The servo feed of the earlier FN120 turret was powered by a hydraulic motor. I’m not sure how it was activated.

Regarding the ram, here’s a few details as requested. The part number is the best I can make out. The width of the ram at the base where it would attach to the turret structure is 1 3/4″. Please note that the other end of the ram, where it would attach to the gun cradle(s) looks to have been modified at some point. It just doesn’t look right to me.
I’m still interested in the elevation ram. Send me a PM Alan, if you’re interested in selling it.
Pumps from a FN5/50/150 turret, one complete with hydraulic filters and an as yet unidentified hydraulic ram, larger than those found in the aforementioned turrets and possibly from a turret having only a single ram. Investigations continue.
What is width of at the base of the ram? Looks like it could fit on our FN16.
If it’s available, I am interested. Check your PM.

Nice find! I’m looking for a seat for this type of turret if you know of any spares.
Here’s a pic of the Bolingbroke twin .303 gun cradle mount.

I wonder how often they carried the gun camera? All I know is that I wouldn’t want to be stuck with it.

I’d always understood 2,500 rounds per gun (10,000 total) as maximum capacity, with 600 rounds in the tracks / chutes and the remaining 1,900 in the tanks.

I found this note.
The AP for the FN121: 10,000 rounds

Thank you for sharing the pics. You’re very lucky that it came with the control grips and rotation bearings!
Be sure to post some pics to the turret FB group.
That’s awesome!
Parts for that turret will be very difficult to come by, but not impossible. Just keep your eyes open.
Very nice!! 🙂
Now I won’t have to 8hrs to visit her. She will look great beside NA337!! 🙂

Nice work James!!
Those are very long, probably more ammo in the ducts than the boxes. Lol
