two more……
Here are a few taken on April 9, 2005.
Hi Cees,
I saw NA337 just over a week ago.
Regards,
I have a few that I will post tonight.
Hi Peter,
I just wanted to add to the detail, but never planned to make the system run off of “oxygen”.
There is a slotted opening in the face the instrument where the reading is shown. I am quite sure that the entire instrument (6D/430) fills with oxygen when in operation.
I am restoring a FN121 turret, hopefully to point where it is fully operable.
That did include plans for a working oxygen system, with a flow gauge, oxygen economizer and hose.
Discussions about these possible hazards have been around for some time now.
I had to change my plans, because I didn’t want to be inhaling any air that passes through an instrument with what I believe to be luminous paint.
Just my two cents.
Awesome pictures!!!
Hi Elliott,
Thanks! Let me know how things work out. I am quite willing to part with legs, arms and maybe even my first born for one!
What are the rams up for auction from?

I seriously think that this is half of the accommodation plate for an FN20/121 turret.

Regards,
I have never seen any Dak’s at CFS Mountainview in the past twenty years that I have been visiting there.
Were they sold by crown assets?
I thought that they where storing some spare CF-18 airframes from when they reduced the operational fleet a few years ago. I know there is a CC-115 Buffalo inside and also a a number CT-114 tutor airframes scattered around the hangers inside and out. Not sure what else.
Some aircadet gliders too.
I do have some pictures in one of my webshots albums from when I was at Mountainview last June.
Me again,
AMDU was orginally the Aerospace Maintence and Development Unit, originally #6 Repair Depot but is now ATESS – Aerospace and Telecommunications Engineering Support Squadron.
The Dak was there when I was on course at CFB Petawawa in 94.

Hi Elliott,
The FN16 is doing fine. Not much is being done to it at the moment.
I have been contemplating replacing the original wood ring on the stand that the turret sits on. The wood is literally rotten and starting to crumble, but what do you do!
I have built another wood ring (see attached pics) in the last few weeks for the stand that my FN121 will be sitting on.
Wow! An elevation ram!
If you ever do come across a spare let me know.
Regards,
Here are a few pictures that I snapped today of Halifax NA337 at the RCAFM Museum in Trenton. Construction is still ongoing, but there is now a small fenced off area in the new building where visitors can view NA337.
The mezzanine and balcony around the front and the two sides of the building will allow you to stand just feet from her wing tips!
I had to take the pictures through the glass of the front windows. The building she will now being calling home is still an active construction site and access to the public is still restricted.
