I have a 1945 bomb damage map of Hamburg- very interesting but printed on flimsy and delicate “wartime paper”.

Also a few aviator charts, backed onto linen, mostly UK, some of europe and one of Florida- still with the RAF pilots details written on it.

You need to search junks shops / charity shops, its amazing what you can find

Not your usual show goers, more of a community type event. Still worthwhile though. Noticed Black Cats at Woodvale on way up. I only took a few pics, may post on here.

I went as well- the weather wasnt too good to start with! Highlights for me were the Yakolevs and the Sea Vixen, neither of which id seen before. Went before the Eurofighter to avoid traffic- a pity, but id seen it at Cosford earlier in the year.

It may well replace the Harrier, but I dont think its officially supposed to supercede the Tornado, but who knows. The fact is that its cheaper to maintain a fleet of fewer aircraft types

Not a lot in Warrington, as we are on approach for Liverpool airport. Chinooks seem to transit the area north-south quite often. I saw a VC10 last year, made a change from 737s. At work I can see Broughton airfield, there was a Hawk this morning. On occasion, Sealand seems to explode with helo activity-Chinooks, Gazelles

I do indeed. The pics were taken from the Forum offices, I do GIS for the City Council (GIS- Geographic Information Systems- maps combined with databases). Some days we get 3 or more Beluga movements, so quite used to large scale aircraft! The views towards Broughton are from my desk- so I can keep an eye on movements at work. Last year there was a burst of Chinook activity over at RAF Sealand, but usually biz jets and the occasional Hawk.
