Maybe Tom Cruise could be an instructor on the S-3 Viking or E-2 Hawkeye?

They both sexier looking aircraft than the F-35 😉

So in the Uk aircraft have only been built in England!! Don’t tell Scottish Aviation!

Er… why would you say this? The aircraft he photographed was built in Belfast…. ya dobber!

    I Wasn’t low balling belfast.

The dented builiding lines in city centre I saw them myself, and those IRA zones are the common city slums.

Sorry…. but…. I say it again. What a load of balls!!!

“those IRA zones”… WTF is that supposed to mean? Any big city has run down areas which lack development. I would harldy call them ‘slums’. And there are equal numbers of these ares beween the two communities in Belfast.

“The dented builiding lines in city centre I saw them myself”… this sentence just does not make sense.

No offence mate, but you have probably been bullsh!tted by a tour guide.
    😀

Easy to park overthere (in 2004 many buildings destroyed during WWII had not been built).

Avoid both Shankhill and Falls Roads, and the Peace Lines (western part of town).

    What a load of balls!!!

I’m originally from Belfast. Its a great city… and is getting better!! Yes, there were bad times in the past but now there is lots of building going on, the city centre has had a massive revamp over the last few years. The night life if one of the best in the UK… and if you like football… the Northern Ireland footie team is one of the europe’s giant killers (beaten England, Spain and Sweden in the last 3 years!)

Dont worry about all the bad press and dodgy areas of the town. like any big city there are good bits and bad bits. I feel safer in belfast than i would in parts of London or Glasgow. Most crime is between factions of the community (think of it as ‘gangs’ related), so if you are not in the gangs you will be ok.

Aldergrove is about 15miles North West of Belfast, Belfast City is about 2miles east of the City Centre. If you want advice on exactly where to stay, PM me. I’m actually trying to rent out my place in Belfast at the mo… and it has views of Belfast City Airport!!! 😉 Maybe we can come to some arrangement?

I took this one of an USAF F-15 intercepting our charter 737 coming back from an air cadet camp in RAF Laarbruch circa 1993. The flight was from Wildenrath to Luton.

Nice one. I was on the Mansion 146 on Monday from GLA to BHD!

Really like the 146s. And BHD for regular civvy shots, although it would be nice to see a few rare visitors now and then. They’ve had quite a few bizjets in recently… must be the great and the good over to do their Christmas shopping.

When I fly I try to get a seat above the wings, to be able to make nice wing views

Weirdo. I hate getting a seat above the wings! Can’t see a thing on the ground below!!
