Wow I did not know that! Talk about heart stopping. 🙁 Good man good leader. I wish we still had men of his caliber still in the Air Force today. By that I Mean individuality and the balls and ribbon rack to back it up. I give a salute to the man and a thumbs up to the legacy.

Hey Scoot, I found another pic of 0744 as you can see. I am over here in Korea and last week no kidding two ROKAF F-4D’s were doing touch and go’s! My nipples almost fell off. Ok maybe that was too much information. Anyway I carry my camera around now just for that purpose as I didnt have it last time, and we also have an open house coming here in October. Looking forward to that.
Another thing I found to be weird and maybe you guys can help me on this. When I went to Google and typed in “F-4E 78-0744” the results I found were interesting. They said that 0744 was the 5,068th phantom built as opposed to the 5,057th. Maybe you or Phantom II can help me with this. Thanks and enjoy.

Hey Phixer. Not sure if this will help but its worth a shot. I am a phantom lover too and if you havnt been here yet its the place to go. You may want to check under ‘serials’ once you get to the main page. You’ll see what I mean. Anyway hope this helps, pretty in depth. Or just ask the society [Phantom] themselves.

    A-10C

Just figured I’d post a pic of the new front office of the Watrhog. They were testing it when I was at Eglin. I had a Captain that used to be an A-10 crew dog. The airframe is 989 and he used to work on it when he was a young troop. He said it used to be his plane and he its chief, but officers lie and embellish alot :D. Its neat to see the upgrades and let alone to see the plane up close.

Ea-6B Prowler. F/A-18C in ‘Aggressor’ scheme and the Kiowa. Which I have seen in action by the way in Iraq and was thouroughly impressed with. The Kiowa and the Blackhawk came over from Fort Rucker.

Next we have one of my favorites the KC-10A and the KC-135. I’m a heavy lover 😀 Also German Tornados form the detachment there and its crews sitting on top of the aircraft. Also the venerable T-43. E 🙂 njoy

Hey SOC, I have also been messing with google earth and am fascinated by it. The stuff that all of us here have been able to find on our on base is kinda scary. but is there a way that you can tell me where the U-2 in flight is? I have been looking for an aircraft in flight but have not scored yet. I will admit that it has taken up alot of our time here at work. Just dont tell Uncle Sam 😉
