All tabloid rubbish!!
The crew rest is always occupied on a flight to/from Toronto. He would have been allowed to visit the rest area ONLY after landing. Basically, he wrote a load of lies.
You can see in the pictures he was wearing his suit jacket, not something you would be doing mid flight.
The gutter press really does report some utter rubbish.
regards.
They don’t do themselves any favours by speaking in Chinese on the radio in Chinese airspace, much like the French.
If you ask me it’s a flight safety issue.
Fourteen people lost their lives in that crash including children and they’re reporting something that trivial!!!
That’s the state of the gutter press nowadays Steve, pathetic if you ask me.
Sky news has to be one of the worst. The last few weeks of their reporting on their web site has been unbelievably pointless.
Im with WD on this one, seems to be a bit more to this story.
Don’t think to many airlines would give two hoots if a pilot was wearing his uniform whilst dropping the family off before heading into work, no matter what’s written in the manuals.
If the airline thought of this as a big problem then tea and biscuits with the chief pilot would have sorted it out.
sounds very fishy to me!!!
I have lost count the amount of times myself and my co workers have left their phones on during the flight. It was funny the time we were cleared to line up and the FOs phone started ringing!!!!!
Funny, I am off to Sanya tomorrow for a few days on the Golf course and beach.
guys,
I am laughing my head off at these.
Apparently Cathay Pacific Airways has announced a postponement of the planned launch of services from MAN to Hong Kong via Moscow.
The tri-weekly service was due to begin on 27 March, but the airline is still “awaiting the completion of regulatory formalities regarding Manchester”.
Make of this what you will…………………
as you said Grey, “awaiting the completion of regulatory formalities regarding Manchester”.
Nothing more……
Can any explain the diff between these three planes.
size. 😀
Cathay, Virgin, BA and Qantas all operating to London from HKG, to much competition on that route. Any one of these airlines could price Oasis out of the game.
It’s happened to me more times than i can remember at both LAX and SFO, it’s an everyday occurence
yep, SFO is very common, and the runways are very close together giving an amazing view. 😀
sweet pictures WD.
It happens all the time. It looks real cool from the flight deck.
I’m sure the enthusiasts will love a different livery to photo, but as a means of getting to Hong Kong it’s not really bringing much new. If those timings are right, looks like it’s an hour to 90 minutes *longer* than connecting through London or Frankfurt and comes with the dubious pleasure of being stuck on the ground in Moscow – maybe even stuck on the plane if they won’t let you disembark. And only 3 days a week. Sorry Cathy – you won’t be winning our business.
The route is mainly targeting Hong Kong/ Moscow vv and Moscow/Manchester vv, and some pax who want to travel onwards to Honkers. Otherwise we would have gone direct.
Firstly when starting a new route sometime you are granted only a handful of slots due to some open skies type of agreements (Governments) e.g We have been operating to Rome for years and years but it’s only now we have had the green light to operate a daily service rather than 5 times a week.
Also it can be used as a trial and if the loads are good then extra sectors are added.
Oh and it’s spelt CATHAY.
Cheers 😉
We’ll wait till a press release comes out 😉
From our CEO.
Of course, with a big expansion in the fleet we have to mount more services to key destinations as well as find new places to serve. In that respect I am pleased to say that next week we will make an announcement on the long-awaited launch of our Moscow service.
We will run a three-times-a-week service from next summer, with a tag to Manchester. The timing of the flight will match other key long-haul services with a departure from Hong Kong after midnight. Our teams are already working hard to set up operations in both cities.
😉 😉
