If anyone is going to compare Airbus Vs Boeing can it at least be on aircraft of the same generation. Comparing a 40+year old design over a 20+year design is a little bit pointless. The Aviation industry moves along quite fast.
Airbus is a modern display of new generation aircraft, they set the tone. Boeing however had to raise their game; they did with the B777, and now with the 787. IF you still want to compare different types try the A340 and the B777. Not the A320 and the 737 or 757 etc.
Wysi said about taking a poll across a pilot body of those who have flown both types, this would be interesting as long as the pilots flew the same generation of aircraft eg: 777 and the 340. Not the 737/757/767 and the A330 etc.
I have flown with well over 80 guys who have flown the SAME generation of Airbus and Boeing (777, 330 and the 340) and there is one clear favorite. But I am keeping it close to my chest and we really don’t want to start another AvB thread.
And on another note, well done to Airbus on the A380.

Great sight, shame about some of the jurno comments. Wrong so many times.

A good start to the A380.

Try the train!!!!!!!!!

For the most part most of the ground security checks are just about useless. For example, folks who cater the aircraft don’t have to go through security. So some high school educated idiot can apply for a job and find himself plane-side in a few weeks with little or no supervision. Wonder how the weapons the 9/11 hijackers got on board the aircraft? Little, if anything at all, has changed.
I agree.
I came back from LAX the other day and the security girl didn’t even check our crew ID and she was on her mobile phone. We walked all the way to the aircraft without having our ID’s checked. This happens everyday at LAX.

Really, skycruiser?
Obviously you know what you’re talking about, so why would this be the case?
Without going into different cultures too much, let’s just say that some Asian cultures would be to sit back and do nothing compared to a Western culture which would be prepared to stand up for themselves.

Anyone trying to hijack an airiner these days would be torn to shreds by everyone else on board.
Maybe in the western world this would happen, but some Asian flights would be a different story.

Simple, no guns on any aircraft.
