Does anyone else find it odd that the UN hasn’t stepped in already and sent its peacekeepers to Liberia?

Oh, wait, I forgot, without the US…the UN is a completely impotent organization whose security council is run by world powers such as France, China and Russia.

    That’s a given

Studebaker is a sick bazturd…and will be punished accordingly.

All I’m saying is, pedophiles such as him wouldn’t be as nearly as successful if parents were a little more vigilant in raising their children and getting involved with their child’s life.

I wasn’t trying to make it a laughing matter…sorry you took it that way.

As for who’s to blame…start with the young girls parents…who obvioulsy were not regulating her use of the Internet (her time spent in chat rooms)…and, who were obviously not doing a very good job of keeping their eyes on their 12 y/o daughter when that sicko showed up to ‘elope’ with her!

As for bombing the PRC territory during the war, well I don’t think the US wanted to drag the possibility of having direct conflict with the USSR (whom they feared more than the PRC).. any involvement with the USSR could open up another front in Europe which was still devastated by WW2, and could the American populace stomach the possibility of fighting China, N.Korea, and the USSR in Asia while fighting the Eastern Bloc in Europe?

Personally, I don’t think Stalin would have had the sack to commit massive land forces to the Korean conflict…he still had to worry about consolidating his “satellites” in eastern Europe.

And yes, the American populace could have stomached another war…we feared communism that much…and we understood just how much of a threat it was to our way of life. I cannot speak for the French or English.

I’m not saying America should have used nukes on China…or attempted an invasion….but bombing the PLA’s supply lines (on both sides of the Yalu) would have bee the most prudent strategy.

oh, so im ‘desperate’ cos i dont share ur paranoid view of what the future is like? does the PRC have a carrier? no, so how could it ‘bully’ its neighbours with sth it doesnt have? i wounldnt call that ‘sound arguments’.

dont asume that everyone will abuse their power like the US has.

Since when does a country need a carrier in order to “bully” others?…especially when its neighbors have such a weak naval capacity. All the PLAN needs is 4-5 heavy cruisers (which it has) in order to bully the likes of the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia.

BTW, Japan has decided to build a couple of WASP-class LHAs…I bet the PRC will build their own (or buy plans from France/Russia) in the next 5-7 years…mark my words.

and name calling? LOL, maybe there is some good at having u around, at least i can get a good laugh out of it.

You are so simple-minded, yet you actually believe you have defended your argument with the statement above…how truly sad.

“Korea…China = 500,000 dead, America = 30,000 dead…and the war pretty much ended where it started…I’d say the Chicoms lost that round.

Vietnam…okay, the US may have “lost” that conflict, but at least we put up a fight for over 10 years…unlike the Chicoms, who were soundly defeated in 1979 in less than a month by the same enemy.”

get ur history right first. the PRC didnt enter the war in korea until the UN, opss, US forces were within a stone through of the Yalu river (boarder with china). thats quite a long way from where the line of control is now. oh, the PLA also forced the US army to go on its longest continuous retreat in history, and they did this with close to no heavy weapons and air cover. i’d say if anyone lost ‘that round’, it was the US.

as for the sino-vietnam war. well, unlike someone who got sucked into a war of attrition, a war that could not be won without wiping out the vietnamese population, we got in, achieve our objectives in less than a month and got out. thats got to be better then slugging in out for 10 years not only unable to achieve ur objectives but having been kicked out at then end.

Oh, wear to begin with your CCP-based history.

First, the PLA sent almost 1 million troops across the Yalu in a surprise attack (300,000 in the first wave alone)…the UN forces (mostly Americans) directly opposing them across the river was only 90,000, spread out very thin. It took two more human waves (estimated at another 500,000) in order for the PLA to push the UN forces back down the peninsula and eventually capture Seoul. Once the UN forces gathered themselves they stopped the PLA/NK advance at the 37th parallel and then retook Seoul. The PLA/NK attempted 2 more failed advances to capture Seoul before truce talks began. At best, it was a draw.

However, if the US had done the right thing (and treated the PRC like the enemy it was) by bombing PRC territory directly, I believe Korea would be governed by the south today…and mainland China would be governed by the RoC.

Oh, Vietnam kicked the PLA’s ass…you’re just proud too admit it…or too dumb to realize it.

“Compared to the US, the PRC does have a crappy military…but compared to its neighbors (which it bullies) the PRC military is quite dangerous.”

still no proof of how the PRC is ‘bullying’ it neighbours. stop making stupid claims if u cant back’um up.

See my previous posts…just because you cannot read, doesn’t make the claims stupid…it makes YOU stupid.

“‘YAWN’ back at ya. 99% of the world is the USA…the other 1% is the rest of the world….deal with it.”

its these kinds of statements that makes me doubt ur sanity.

“Blah, blah, blah…you’re just unable to argue my questions/comments with facts and any form of intelligence, so you avoid answering them…just like a good propoganda student is taught…your CCP masters would be proud.”

that can be said abt all of ur posts.
