You have to be very careful with that from now on. I’m not sure if it was BA or VS he was talking about, my boss has found out when booking his next trip that the airline was changing its terms and conditions and that anyone who failed to honour the return leg of their trip would from now on be charged for the price of a single ticket- i.e. they’ll charge your credit card for the difference.
I’ll try to find out which airline he was referring to.
This policy(which I can hardly believe) is absolute rubbish; if you’ve paid for a return ticket then it shouldn’t matter whether you actually use the return portion. Supposing you book a return ticket which you plan to use then genuinely can’t make the return flight due to force majeure. I doubt the legality of charging your credit card at a later date for a no-show.
I have heard of people booking a return tkt on the basis that the outward portion wouldn’t be used; when the passenger didn’t show up the airline cancelled the entire booking.
thats cool
I wander whats happening in this pic http://www.bamuseum.com/images/large/60-70/60-70s16.jpg
why are the 707s and VC-10s bunched up so close together
That many a/c parked so close together usually occurs during a pilot’s strike??

Great photos; I flew on G-BPEI from LHR to ABZ in May. It’s a pity that BA sold so many of their B757s.

There’s also a very good shop at EMA, when I’ve visited it’s always had a larger selection of books/videos/models than the one at BHX.

I have had the pleasure? of flying on these a/c numerous times and find them slow, noisy, cramped and the overhead lockers are tiny. When most major airlines are converting to regional jets(CRJ200/ERJ145 etc), it’s time KLM followed suit imo.

Why paint the F50s different from the F70/100s? KLM, please just get rid of them!

This proposal would seriously affect operations at Osaka Itami/ITM as both JAL and ANA operate most of their shuttle flights from Tokyo Haneda/HND with B777/747s. I flew on a B747-400D on this route 2 years ago; there were 560 passengers on the flight! ITM is quite central whereas Kansai is nearly a 1 hr journey from central Osaka.
