Thanks you lot :eagerness: A bloody thankless task.
Would be interesting to see the underside, at a guess it’s a mix of cannon and .303’s.
Good news for Sgt Keogh’s family.
The video shows what good condition the wreck is in and also the complexity of the Lanc. Well done to the team.
Would anyone have any ideas what the two bar type brackets are for?
One looks like to secure it, the other to open it and pivot on a bracket. So that would rule out my earlier suggestion of a caravan. or does it? But the suggestion of a sextant hanging from it also seem plausible.
Some pen pusher has got it so wrong.
Quote “Doesn’t make a lot of difference to us”. After two years I would make a difference to me I would be well pee’d off!
I would say control caravan, but the metal piece in the top puzzles me. A B-29 has something similar with the metal piece, but the shape is all wrong. I doubt it would stay in one piece under pressure.
Sorry if this sounds pedantic, but reading the press release, when did Broughton migrate to Wales?
Last time I was out there, the factory entrance was on the Chester Rd and firmly in Cheshire.
Broughton is in Flintshire not Cheshire, so it’s in Wales, albeit just. 😉
I bet it was fascinating, I’d be like a kid in a sweet shop.
Geoff, do you mean this place?
The OP has included the You tube link.
Correct Tonk, I still hated swinging props though.
I rather like the Beagle, I haven’t flown in one so I don’t know what they are like.
As for swinging props, I have done loads of them and I hated every one!
Interesting, I hadn’t heard of these attacks.
Thanks Rob, I can see it now.
