Heath reasons it seems, but good luck to him.
(May confuse some of the home supporters…..)
Some……..More like 90%.
Good on the Poles.
I like the silver and dark blue on the Aeroflot a/c.
I don’t think it’s a massive blow for Boeing just yet, it’s a breakthrough for Airbus without a doubt. If the other Japanese carriers follow JAL’s lead then yes it will be a massive blow.
Did 787 issues must have had a factor, or was it just due to economics?
I have had to Google her name, but I knew it rang a bell. Lets hope the Seafire belly landing isn’t something they concentrate on.
But on the subject of the Seafire landing I did find a photo album of the landing and recovery I haven’t seen before (good job I’m not doing the interview):highly_amused:

I bet they don’t do that again:highly_amused:
Gaffa tape rules.
Well done indeed, sadly the pilot has died.
TBH, I doubt anything would be left, engine maybe but not much more.
To quote the OP.
“The military vehicle / 1940’s re-enacting scene is booming at the moment and is expanding exponentially, I would hope the aero boys will get on board, sadly I feel that I already know they won’t”.
Mike Eastman has taken his Spit replica to quite a few ’40’s weekends. I know I have been with him!
Sorry I have forgotten his name but a gentleman has taken his Griffon 58 and has done engine runs with it.
Also BBFM have done flyovers with the Dakota and Spits. Ooop north it’s happening. :stupid:
Charlie,
I hope it’s not it’s going to be like the Burma Spit thread. Lots of legs!
I’m saying no more.
I know I’m newish to the forum but this thread isn’t one I would like to see as a total newbie.
Dave.
Plenty of places in the US could be made to look like the UK, mock towers, hangers could easly be built.
Not sure how many US B17 operators would risk a flight across the pond for a TV programme.
Looking forward to the series should it happen.
I thought the pilot did the right thing, he wasn’t sure if he could made the airport. A clear road or stuffing it into the trees on appoach is a no brainer with a lack of power.
A pity it was a flight for a guy who wanted to buy the plane:love-struck:
Did the sale go ahead?
“I have every sympathy for both aggrieved parties but this is going beyond an aviation topic and developing into a point scoring tic for tac slating match”
Ditto that, But it’s up to the Mods. Dammed if they pull it, dammed if they don’t.
I have read Spits had about 20-24 panels needing to be removed to re-arm. The Hurricane had 6.
I’m going to dig out the book and see if it’s correct.
