“We are very lucky to have the Mods we have, they advised with subtle suggestions on how to solve this throughout the thread, but if you read between the lines even their patience was being stretched by both parties ignoring them”.
I know what moderating is like. Rock and a hard place springs to mind.
A thank less task.
Well said Jason.
Why not continue via PM, I’m sure the Mods have better things to do rather than over-see this thread.
The video is set to private.
Welcome BTW.
From the news item.
“The bones of the pilot will be deposited at the German cemetery of La Cambe (Calvados)”.
Indeed it could, also a Defiant passing the tail at 45 degrees could have shot it from behind.
Sadly no ID on the pilot. RIP.
A taster. Now doubting it was a Defiant.
Can’t say I’m surprised, but I’m more surprised by this survey, I didn’t think it would be this often.
All I can find on the web is Spitfire MkXIV, Seafang F.Mk 31, using the Griffon 61.
Chas, Didn’t those early Beetle engines only have about half a dozen bolts in them?, making a total removal of said engine a piece of cake to remove from the body, thus making repairs very easy?.
Jim.
Lincoln .7
The aircooled engines have 4 bolts holding it to the gearbox, all you have to do is remove the wiring, throttle cable, fuel pipe, heater cables (not often fitted) a bit of tin around the engine, lower it on a trolly jack and thats it.
I have taken one out in about an hour.
World record is 1 minute and 4 seconds for an engine CHANGE in a Beetle.

The car I regret getting rid of was a ’64 VW Karmann Ghia T34, it was I think the 8th oldest remaining in the world and one of the first RHD ones made, had 38,000 mile on the clock when I got it.
This is it.

I sell the deterrent devices as well as the traps:cool:
I must admit when I first had seen the photos I thought it was rather dirty area.
Why not send BAA a link to this thread, see what happens (if anything).
Music indeed:eagerness:
I presume no intention of making her airworthy?
Hope they throw the book at him.
