Sorry to ask again.
Can anyone shed light on G-ANON history around ’78-’81, I know who the owner at the time and I think he has passed away. Did she have an accident around this time?
Or was it a major check/rebuild that needed doing? I was working at Hornet Aviation at Sherburn upon Elmet at the time.
At the time it was just another job to do, it’s just recently I have wondered which Tiger I was working on.
Or does anyone have a website I can search the history of an a/c or ideally a registation? I have tried on my friend Google but it confused me even more. Thanks.
Dave.
I helped rebuild a Cub G-BBYB, but at the same time I was helping rebuild a Tiger Moth G-ANON (I suspect) I have asked on Historic, but without any help.

Great news on the funding, thank you to the member who has donated. I’m looking forward to working with Mike E and building it. Thanks again, I’m so looking forward to working on this project.
I’m blind as a bat now, but then it was how I was shown how to do it. ‘look through the hole for the needle coming towards you’. Surprised I didn’t get one in the eye!
Missed it, not on the I-player.
Video update;
I don’t have many fond memories of crop dusters, my job was to scrape the build up of chemicals off the belly and wings of a Pawnee weekly during the spray season. Not a nice job!
I have done a bit more searching and I suspect it was G-ANON. It was owned by a Mr Mercer at the time who lived just down the road from Sherburn, so that fits and it’s still based at Sherburn.
But I can’t find any record of an accident, even AAIB doesn’t show anything.
Nothing on the Moth Club either. Can anyone fill in the blanks please?

Who left that there?
A quick Google shows 38 in US museums, as Peter says must a few in the boneyards, I would have thought proberbly more than a few, after all they didn’t finish service until ’98.
Interesting articles, and very nasty burns, though I wouldn’t have found the lady 20% responsable more like 50%. That said serves Mc D’s right for trying to brush off her claim like they did.
Bought the wife a new iron a few years, (I’m kind like that) and on the packaging it said ‘Do not iron items of clothing whilst wearing them’.
I thought what a stupid advice, then I thought of Darwin and the number of oxygen thiefs out there.

My issue is that they are getting robbed. Looting is looting after all.
I have seen a documentry on Truc, as soon as another ship was found it was raided. Would this be OK on a Lancaster, Halifax, Spitfire wreck?
Otherwise known as a Mustang.
Spot on, I thought I would do one that was so easy that it wouldn’t be worked out.
When you asked about an Allison engine I couldn’t say later a Merlin due to the yes or no rules.
No, not Bell.
12 left, but I can see it worked out very soon.
