Mr Merry -indeed I am sure decent Muslims will suffer some sort of public reaction. It’s worth pointing out though that our country is amazingly tolerant to other people’s beliefs . I can think of a few countries around the world where there would be a far more extreme backlash against a religion if it was seen to be associated with this kind of event.

We far more tolerant than we have ever been, however not everone in the UK is.
I fear an extreme backlash will happen, I hope I’m proven wrong, very wrong. Time will tell.

Mr Merry -I understand the idea of learning about other peoples religions -but this isn’t traditional religion! This is fundamentalism and how do we really expect to understand that?

With fundamentalism we will never understand what they may think, they may know, but I doubt we will.

But for a normal hard working decent Muslim they hate what has happened because it will reflect on them.

We should take time to learn about others religions.
