I would guess it would be extruded and then cut to length.
As for people I note that volunteers with an interest are often better than funded security guards.
I agree, YAM at Elvington is a good example.

We have flown out of Sharm many times and I haven’t had a issue with security there, as good as anywhere else if not better.
Reported that it suffered damage in 2001, I don’t know if thats true or not. If it is true, the extent of the damage wasn’t reported.
Looks a good place to visit. But I wouldn’t know 75% of the types on display, which is good thing, after all museums are about education.
Thanks Robert, yes, a date would have been good! Sorry about that.
Fishburn are doing a ‘wings and wheels’ on the 3rd of October if anyone fancies a bimble.
The best TV coverage I have seen do far is on Channel 4.
The BBC said………..Two Spitfires have taken off and they are the two seaters. But it was a PR Spit and a Hurricane.
It’s not hard, if you are commentating, just ask the expert that you had been talking to earlier. If he/she isn’t available, I’m sure there was plenty of people about who could tell a Spit from a Hurricane.
Some idiots were taking suitcases down the chute.
The last thing I would be bothered about would be my laptop and bags. I have seen some more photos on Facebook and it wouldn’t surprise me if it isn’t a write off.
Beermat, don’t get me wrong. It would be nice if progress is made before Christmas, but a huge amount of work on the workshop is needed first.
Anyone in the NE and you fancy lending Mike a hand give him a shout, he sure needs all the help he can get, doesn’t matter what type of skill you have he will find a job for you.
The best way to contact him is by text, if you need his number please send me a message and give you it to you.
I would be nice if it’s planked by Christmas, but I would go on the side of caution, a lot needs doing on the workshop first.
I’m surprised crowd funding hasn’t been tried before. But a bit of constructive criticism, add more detail as to what is happening and to the progress made so far. Just not enough detail. My tuppence worth.
Due to work I couldn’t get to any of the venues, which were close to me. But did any Hurricanes take part? It would be a bit off if it was only Spitfires. I did see a news paper article promoting the the event showing a photo of two a/c, “Spitfires like this etc etc” Only one was a Spitfire the other was a Hurricane. Hmm.
