By swipe do you mean contact debit card? I thought that worked in same way as Oyster with same prices. How is it cheaper? It means you have to register your account. Credit never expires and refunds up to £10 can be obtained from tube ticket machines, a complete refund is available.
Yes, I just swiped my debt card (one with a chip in it), saves the hassle of refunds. I was told my a local that it works out cheaper.
After all this work I do hope Kermit continues with this project, rather than putting it on the ‘back burner’.
Buy a public transport card, called an Oyster card, this covers you for travel on all public transport within the Greater London area with a very reasonable daily cap. Cash is not taken on any buses now.
I found swiping a card was cheaper than buying a visitor Oyster card and I didn’t have an Oyster card with credit left on it. Just a thought.
That’s an opinion rather than a fact.
Moggy
I didn’t think much of it when I visited earlier this year. Agreed my opinion, but an opinion shared by many.
A practice bomb?
I’ve got hundreds of DVDs and I can’t watch them all at once. But I like owning them. Kermit obviously enjoys collecting and why not? I don’t think he has a problem. I think some enthusiasts have the problem.
I agree, but thats what I meant by Kermits problem. Too many projects.
Wings43, you missed my point. I’m not having a go at Kermit at all. But it doesn’t matter how many millions you have, you can only do so many projects at once. A simple case of too many to do. The Lancaster is a huge project.
Kermits problem is that he has too many large projects, two B-17s, B-24, B-29, Catalina, Lancaster, etc. But he keeps buying more smaller projects, his money, his choice. The Lancaster will take years to do and cost millions.
I have flow from Netherthorpe a couple of times, it’s a short runway!
Going from ‘a bit here and a bit there’. German, civilian also military use, 1930’s to WW2 era. But I think you need an expert.
The internet gives so much conflicting information. I have tried to get the most popular opinions, auction houses, military collectables etc, rather than just ebay. Seems it could be worth a few quid.
Nearest I have come up with so far is this;
Two world class pilots, it wouldn’t be a huge challenge to them.
The black tail looks early Piper? A guess, just going by the flat topped fuselage.
Send a message to Bruce, he maybe able to help.
Dunbar, no we don’t. The Americans have a specialist team to bring back the fallen. It just costs too much for us in the UK.
