I wish the UK would do the same as America when it comes to recovering our fallen. The least a nation can do is recover their bodies and give them a proper burial.
Out of all of them I liked the Duxford one and the Coningsby one, errors aside.
Those models are very realistic, with the exception of the helicopter of course.
Great news that it has gone back to his family.
How’s the air fighter academy 109G coming along? I’m assuming this isn’t far behind?
Info on the 109’s here http://www.meiermotors.com/index.php/projekte/messerschmitt-bf109 The text is in German mostly, but just use Google translate.
AUS is Austin Texas 😉
The latest news isn’t good.
Lancaster update
Good evening here is a a brief post about the progress on the repairs after the problem with the number four engine. As you can appreciate I cannot give you all the details but it is not simply an engine change. There is fire damage to the nacelle panels, engine bearer and associated systems. All this will take time to assess, repair or replace. We hope to have her flying again this year but at this moment we can not say when.
At least the Lanc is just damaged and no-one was hurt.
I will be at the workshop tomorrow, so fingers crossed we can do some more.
It’s looking good Matthias, I have to say at first I wasn’t keen on the red colour. But now I think it’s great.
Cheers Matt.
But the point I’m making is that Mike needs more help in order to make decent progress. I can only get up one or two Saturdays per month at the most.
To quote “Mike, with his dedicated volunteer team” Isn’t quite accurate. When we cut the metal on Saturday it was only me and Mike, more help is needed please.
As I said there will be some duplications.
