Wouldn’t it be cheaper to do DUB-MAN on Ryanair then MAN-AMS on Jet2 and the same back?
He’d have to do what I’m doing to get the first MAN-AMS, i.e stay overnight. Still works out cheaper than driving for me though.
Good to see you booked btw, Sam! 🙂
Nice report/shots there, Tom. That spot at BRS looks quite good, was BRS particularly busy?
Can I add a few others for people to contribute to?
Most flown type (specific): 767-300 (=18 flights) followed by 737-800 (=16 flights)
Most flown airline: Ryanair (=18 flights + 6 more next week!)
Most flown route: LON-ACE (8 times) or more specifically STN-DUB (3 times)
Currently booked flight that you’re most looking forward to: Bmi ERJ MAN-LHR or BA 752 BCN-LHR
Most flown type (specific): B752 and B738 both at 10 flights
Most flown airline: Ryanair 😮 , 8 flights. Now that shocked me! lol
Most flown route: EDI-LON, 4 times. Or specific to airports, EDI-STN and EDI-DUB (and vice versa) both 2 times.
Currently booked flight that you’re most looking forward to: BCN-LHR, BA B752. 😉
Cheapest ever return fare (including taxes, charges etc): PIK-STN-PIK on Ryanair, £18.
Longest flight : Canada 3000 A332, GLA-YYZ, 7 hours+
Shortest flight : Toss up between MAN-EDI (Jet2 B733) and DUB-EDI flights ( FR B738) both being less than an hour.
Longest delay : 3 and a half hours, Flyjet B752 (ended up on Finnair B752 operating for Air Scandic operating for Flyjet!) MAN-HER.
Biggest a/c flown on : Wardair DC10, PIK-YYZ (Although I can’t actually remember that flight so I should probably say Canada 3000 A332, GLA-YYZ)
Smallest a/c flown on : bmi regional ERJ145, EDI-MAN.
Largest airport visited : LHR, although not actually flown from LHR, YYZ or BOS would be the biggest I’ve flown to/from.
Smallest airport visited : La Rochelle!
Your favourite airline company flown with : Canada 3000 weren’t bad, neither were bmi regional.
Worst company flown with : Flyjet!
Best plane flown on : A332
Worst plane flown on : Flyjet’s B752, although in general I have nothing against B752s! Ryanair’s B738s are pretty boring.
Best looking cabin crew : bmi/Flybe/certain easyJetters
In competition with GSM’s LPL-TFS!
:S
? I think the main competition will be from MAN!!
This photographer seems to be at Poitiers almost about everyday just for the FR flight judging by his uploads to jp.

Luckily, he was there to catch my flight too!
Excellent shots. Great to see the Tu204 at EDI again. Was the climb rate of the B762F as agressive as usual? That has to be seen to be believed. 😉
Aren’t JET2 and Globespan part of the same company.
No! A common misconception that it seems…
Operating on the day that CPT isn’t, so that’s the B763 now fully utilised. This could be a sign that they are starting to bring the Canada flights in-house and moving away from using TS. If that’s the case I’d expect GLA-YYZ this winter too.
The quality of tv these days is so dire that I very rarely watch it. Most of it is crap, especially all these reality tv shows (special to mention to ‘celebrity’ fat club or fit club or whatever it’s called) and the X Factor etc. Glorified kareoke if I ever I saw it, and an easy way to get yourself on the tv by making yourself look as foolish as possible, so they invite you back for the final to be seen infront of millions of viewers who surely have better things to do, next thing you know you’ll be on GMTV and in the papers…. Then no doubt you’ll end up with a number 1 single and a big wad of cash, and all for being totally useless!
There’s only one thing on tv that I actually make an effort to make sure I see it, and that’s Top Gear. 😀 Bring on the World Cup too. 😉

Nice report Stuart! Looking forward to the return trip. Glad to know FR’s boarding system works better at STN than it does at the joke of an airport that is DUB, so hopefully all will be well when myself and Tom (LBARULES) do the FR STN-DUB flight in August!
Hope you don’t mind, but I cleaned your airfield shots up a bit in Photoshop. It might make identification a little easier for anyone who knows them!
Paul
P.S. This is my 757th post. I might not post for a while and keep it at that magical number a bit longer. Then again, I am heading towards the equally magical 777!
Thanks Paul. Yes FR’s boarding system at STN actually works, although beware that the same system isn’t in place on the domestic pier so that is the usual scrum. I don’t know what the odds of a DUB flight leaving from the domestic pier are though, if it was inbound from say PIK…
I certainly don’t mind a bit of photoshopping being done! Like I said in the return, I don’t have the use of photoshop just now so they are all un-edited, just re-sized using another program. I normally wouldn’t post them un-edited, but as they are mainly just window shots I just posted them anyway. But feel free to do the rest of them. 😉
The 74F shots are from the Kaagbaan, is a truly awesome place! Definitly going to get back round there on the 30th!
Fantastic work as ever Pete, wish that was the definition of nothing interesting at my local!
Amazing. Yes, we are definitely Kaagbaan bound in August!
Good stuff Sam, the more the merrier!
Indeed!
Excellent report, Sam. Reminded me of my EDI-MAN flight on them last summer. Bmi regional certainly are a great little airline. I know what you mean about the ERJ being unstable on approach too!
