Yeah it does need some expansion terminal wise, to save it from ‘breaking’ point.

I’ve never flown from Blackpool, but heard it can only just handle about one flight at a time.

I’ve never flown from there either, but I was there meeting a relative a couple of weeks ago, and I’m not sure how these flights are getting timetabled, but I’d go with your theory of anymore than one flight at a time and it’s overload time.

ATH has just appeared on the route map this minute, but no MAH.

GLA-MAH just been added to GSM schedule. Once weekly on a thursday ex GLA.

    Doesn’t look like it.

Has any one got any pics of Globespan, especially interiors.

    Has anyone flown with ’em?

What is this airline like compared to other charter airlines like First Choice, Monarch, both of which also offer services to SFB.

This is what they are offering on the GLA-SFB flights:

    Economy – No Frills Service

    # Unique to the Transatlantic Market
    # 30″ seat pitch
    # 20kg luggage allowance
    # Purchase onboard a wide range of meals, snacks and refreshments
    # Power outlet for laptops and video games

    Premium Economy Service

    # Priority check-in
    # Priority boarding
    # 30kg luggage allowance
    # 34″ seat pitch
    # Full meal service
    # Complimentary drinks throughout the flight
    # Complimentary headsets
    # Power outlet for laptops and video games

    Business Class Service
    # Use of airport executive lounge prior to departure
    # Priority check-in
    # Priority boarding
    # 40kg luggage allowance
    # Champagne prior to departure
    # Sleeper seats with 50″ seat pitch
    # Gourmet meals served with fine wines
    # Complimentary drinks throughout the flight
    # Individual in-flight entertainment
    # Complimentary headset
    # Soft pillow and blanket
    # Power outlet for laptops and video games

Great post, good to see EDI-MAN staying, loads have really picked up now since it started, the amendment of the timetable to 2x daily must have helped, some flights are even going out full now.

Hopefully they will confirm the new route from EDI, got a feeling it could be Venice, although I suppose with Flyglobespan dropping PRG they could bring back some loco competition to CSA.

BLK better get it’s self together for all this expansion next summer though! 😮 I was there a couple of weeks ago meeting a relative off a flight and had forgotten how small it is!! Was also disappointed at the lack of any arrival/departure information anywhere. I had no idea if the flight was on time!

Seems they are annoucing the new A319 arrivals mean they can push more B737s into Liverpool. I have it on good authority that the last base to get A319s will be a toss between BFS, GLA, EDI with the three of them sort of bidding to management to get them.

Scottish bases will be A319 by next summer, I’d of thought LTN will keep the B737s for longer than anyone else, but I’m only guessing.

easyJet also announced it is converting three of its UK regional bases – Edinburgh, Glasgow and Liverpool – to solely Airbus operations, replacing the current fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft with brand new Airbus 319s this summer. This move reflects easyJet’s commitment to future investment and expansion.

Also GLA-Sanford and EDI-Murcia/Bournemouth plus some other destinations from both airports I cant think off right now 😉 😮

Plus EDI-Ibiza, with more to come this month I predict, they can’t hold the annoucement off any longer. 😉

Nice pics, shame to see the tail paint on freshly painted G-CDKD already falling to bits though!

Basing 4 at GLA apparently ? Despite the downsizing of business. 😀

They are going to be switched one for one with the B733s to begin with which means 3 for EDI and GLA, but with the possibility of 4 if EZY want to be crazy and expand in Scotland. 😮

    I didn’t say it was comfortable 😉

Just saying it appealed to me visually :).

Yeh ‘ano. 😉 But since you mentioned Ryanair’s new interior and comfort in your post I thought I’d mention that it isn’t that comfortable, for what it’s worth I don’t think it looks to bad either though. 😉

I understand the new Ryanair interior isnt that comfortable at all, but I must say I do like the look of it:

I also found the old 738 interior very comfortable when I flew on a 738 last:

FR’s new interior is easily the most uncomfortable I’ve flown in recently IMO.

The seats are the same as the 733’s, cream leather with either red or blue headrests.

CELZ has grey leather. Must be because it is a QC?
