The airline, which advertises twice-daily return flights on the route, finally got airborne on Wednesday evening, but its first flight, to Edinburgh, which should have taken 45 minutes, arrived 45 minutes late. Mr Halstead was among seven passengers on the service.
No flights operated last night because there had been no passenger bookings.
Mr Halstead said nearly 400 bookings had been taken so far
 400! That sounds like quite an achievement if it’s true!
Will this charge have to be paid during the booking process? Bad idea if so.
Groovy baby. :dev2: 😉
Apparently there was movement of a PA31 at EDI yesterday evening that Alpha1 are using, but I’ve got no idea if it was a scheduled flight with paying pax or if it came from IOM.
What!! They are are starting again from the New Year basically with more destinations and flights planned, wasn’t expecting to see MAN though. They did fly from NCL a couple of years ago.
However a statement from the airline said a flight planned for 1815 GMT would go ahead.
Unfortunately that didn’t happen either, I did keep an eye out as I said, but all I could see was the word ‘Cancelled’ next to the flight on the departures board…

cdrb was the one at brs, I thought it was a diff. one at filton………….maybe not, however, the one at filton is in spankin new globespan scheme now, and quite pretty I think.
Hmm, it’s possible that it was CDKT at Filton as that is away getting painted into full GSM colours just now.
Ad in the papers today, there was a news article too with CEO saying that Pisa received many more requests than any other destination from the survey they ran asking customers to choose the next desination. Whether that is actually true or he is just saying that, I don’t know. 😉
cheers chaps, I am not a reg collector personally so I’ll see if I can see it on any of my other shots,
I noticed that there was a flyglobespan 737 in BRS today, looks very pretty (much cleaner than the one in the shot……….which appeared to be on a training flight as it did not go to a gate, stayed on the taxi-way for 10 mins or so, did not refuel, and went straight out………)
EDIT: Just checked a piccy and the Globespan 737 is G-CDRB
So was CDRB in full GSM colours today or was it still in part SAS colours?
It’s their latest B736 which should be in service very soon.
I’ll be looking out for it tomorrow night. 😉
Excellent pics from both of you.
Did you get the reg on the Flyglobespan B736, was it G-CDRB? Was that taken at BRS or Filton?
Pisa’s a good one! However, this has the same problem as GSM to Rome next summer, that is it is only 1x weekly which makes it useless for anyone wanting to just have a few days there/weekend.
