I’m taking a trip from BHX to JER on May 9th, flybe flights BE501 and BE512. Anybody know the aircraft type? Q400 or 146? Don’t mind which, only flown in a 748 in 1976 and Ryanair and Thomson 737’s since.

According to amadeus BE501 is a 146-200, as is BE512. Generally, Amadeus can be trusted, but nothing is ever set in stone, as you probably know. 🙂

At this point the driver was still blowing his horn
Ah! The impatience of some drivers drives me up the wall! 😉
I had a similiar experience when I was learning, turning right off of a one-way street I was positioned in such a way that meant the car behind me couldn’t get along side to turn left, the instructor acknowledged this, but did that make a difference?! 😡 Now that I have passed I like to think that I am particularly considerate towards learner drivers. :p
He said ‘and possibly even buying new aircraft apart from 737’s’, he got a reply to that.
Maybe they either dont know or dont want to talk about fleet/route expansion, cant blame them really.
I emailed them just after they announced MAN-LGW asking about LBA-LGW, and I got a very detailed reply saying basically that they didnt plan it in the immediate future.
Although his email didn’t seem to hint towards a change in aircraft size? But you are probably right, I wouldn’t of thought they would be particularly keen to discuss any future fleet plans in depth.

I hope nothing has happened to Martin phsyically or something that would prevent him from running the airline as since he hasent posted on here since Mubai snipit a possability?
A quick check of his profile reveals that he has been in the US while all this has been happening.

I dont see whats stupid about that, they dont need planes bigger than 737s. They obviously suit their needs.
They way I read his reply is that the email doesn’t answer the question he asked, the question being about fleet size, not aircraft size. 😉

😮 The B734 was out of service the other day to be briefly replaced by Travel Service B738, I presumed it would have been to have the peeling titles sorted, but obviously not!

Happy Birthday.
Happy Birthday.
Nice one! 😎 Wow, it’s been said many a time before, but now seeing it next to fellow aircraft, the A380 is some size! 😮 Especially the tail, that’s bloody massive!
