Well, I have been on a 762 already with Excel – was impresive service for a charter flight! But i would prefer to go on the 757 or the 737 – just something different! (not that its makes any difference as long as i arrive there in one peice!)

I would have thought that with Malaga being such a polular route, the aircraft would be a larger one?! Or at least the frequency higher than it is at the moment (just once a week!)! I dont know what Excel do with such a large fleet in May/June and Sept/Oct, considering frequency to the really popular destinations is quite low! I know the larger aircraft are brought in over the summer from Air Atlanta though!

Does anyone have a schedule that lists the type for my flight!?

    RE: Airline Names

Just to let you know that the date of the two CORSAIR 747’s at LBA was on the 13th September 2000. I was airside on that particular day, when the aircraft arrived and departed on the special charters to Barcelona. (Unfortunatly I wasnt there when they returned that night!)

Two aircraft (one 200 series and one 300 series) in question were:
    B747-200 F-GLNA
    B747-300 F-GSEA

we also had a Sabre B727-276/Adv – G-BNNI, which has now sadly been broken up at Southend!

Hope thats helpful information to you!

RE: Holiday Airlines – Is their service up to …?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-02-02 AT 08:04 PM (GMT)]For passengers travelling on a full fare or as part of an Airtours/MyTravel or other Inclusive Tour operators Pakage, all meals are included. Meals are only charged for if the passenger has a discounted (cheap) ticket (i.e. last minute) or have a flight only fare with AIH at present!! They ask passengers with cheaper tickets to make them selves known to the cabin crew before departure, then tell them they can pay £10-£15 for some scrag ends!

I say take some really smelly food with you to stink out the cabin! or some really nice food to make everyone gelious! – lets be fair to the charters though, on occasions their ‘flight only’ tickets are sometimes as cheap, if not cheaper than the low cost carriers! for example to Malaga with AIH you will get entertainment – not with easyJet or Go!
