It’s no excuse but I’m sure the goings-on on GreedBay have a bad effect.
Pistons “PROBLEY FROM A SPITFIRE OR LANCASTER”

I think these could be even more historic than the seller says, VSM is presumably Vickers Sons and Maxim (and E for Erith?)
What do the piston experts think?

A bit more progress here, there are a few ‘hole fillers’ but it is basically complete apart from the cable out gauges and the radalts.
I would have taken it outside for a photo but it is getting too heavy to lift!
Still wanted items shown in second picture.
Google the serial number it comes up straight away
😀 sound advice – I didn’t even need to press search
In this case it is the Kynoch factory at Standish (I think).
Hi,
K2 1941 W and on a second one K2 1941 VII.
That is RAF .303 ammunition, one ball, one AP.
Yes I can’t see the point of the full depth backplate. The headrest tube on mine is cracked right through so I can see how the tubes came to be cut off.
I don’t know if the blue paint is a clue here?
7.92mm is typically German ammunition.
True, but all is not as it seems as some of the calibre designations are measured over the lands of the rifling.
Clean unfired bullets should measure 7.82mm for US, 7.90mm for British and 8.20mm for German.
(.30 cal .308″ bullet, .303 .311″ bullet and 7.92mm .323″ bullet)

£21 label for a £21 fatigue meter – and it costs £6 to post -probably due to weight!
Surely no-one will buy this …
or will they?
It’s enough to give greed a bad name.
Release the hounds!
Hi All
Does anybody recognise this part number
Wb5-84-198×6
It belongs to a padded folding seat which I can’t photograph because it is under a pile of rubbish.
Just to complicate matters Wb5 could be Wbs!
Thanks in advance
:eagerness:
from Wessex HAS1 AP:
WB5-84-198, 199 and 200 are single, 5 man and 9 man inward-facing seats from the back of the aircraft.
