The Packard threads may have been what we would now call UN, but the the unified standard was not adopted until after the war – in an attempt to solve these problems. (Parts which are labelled as Unified or have the three overlapping circles mark are deffo post war.)
Looks standard and pretty much the same set is still available. Quite likely to have been used in aero though, are there any engraved property markings that might give a clue?
I remember that BA “draining fluids” (on H&S grounds:confused:)was controversial at the time since it was seen as a way of knackering the hydraulic systems and destroying any likelihood of recommissioning.
