I was waiting for an expert poster but, in my opinion, it is after 1944 because it is not marked AM and before the “early 1950s” when the mk4a came out.
You’ll need to bury yours in the garden for a year to match the authentic patina though
I wouldn’t be so sure ..

It is important that the glasses are intact so there is no exposure to dust inside the instrument!
The radium dials have the appearance of thick brown paint overpainted on some of the numerals and so are usually easy to spot. Many instruments from the 1940s or earlier will have radium dials.
seven I think 😮
Rotol prop feathering switches for my Lancaster B2 panel …
5c/1979, 5c/1980, flip up covers 5c/2494
“Spitfire start buttons” 5c/898 or 5c/540, want to exchange for single “Lancaster Boost Coil” switches 5c/543 (Canada) new in boxes 😉
The scaling is not quite so simple. If you scale the linear dimensions by 0.6, then the wing area scales by 0.6×0.6=0.36. On a brighter note, the weight scales by 0.6×0.6×0.6=0.216, other things being equal. Also the materials used don’t need to be as stiff.
I know this is simplistic but you can see that it is easier to make a small plane fly.
sballance, thanks for the offer of a ride in your plane when it is finished 😀
Why do you need detailed drawings though? -isn’t is the shape that you would be reproducing, and not the exact original methods of construction?
Is it just going to carry two fat blokes then?
60% of a Halifax seems a bit ambitous 😀
The .303 in the picture has what looks like rusty metal link on it which kind of narrows it down to Browning.
The (?7.92 Mauser) has a lengthways split which is characteristic of cook-off in a fire.
perhaps we could all wear top hats? :D:D
Lancaster B2 Instrument Panel
Just finished painting it 🙂
ah I see, in that case try jiggling the stamped letters a little bit for the more handmade look
very nice, might be more perfect than the originals though 😀
How did you do it, was it etched and then engraved?
Fantastic news :):):):):):)
Of course we’d all like to hear the circumstances when you’re allowed to say …..
