Looking forward to it …
Great news! You normally have to start making one before the original turns up.
Nice project James.
The pilot’s control looks quite straightforward to make from the photo.
As far as I can see on the receiver end, the cables would be counter wound round the two pulleys which can be twisted relative to each other and locked in position by means of the bevel gear. This is just a complex cable tensioner and there are easier ways of doing that so it depends how original you need it to be.
Also these

This one looks a bit crappy, I have a couple of better ones. It is a nukes controller from the Tornado GR1(not Buccaneer) with the front panel put on backwards and painted silver. You can see the two terminals for the panel light.
An expert will be along in a minute with the exact film reference.
I would be suprised if the 3 balloons on the drawing above didn’t amount to screw, washer and nut.
2 BA AGS248 – These are brass countersunk, that doesn’t sound very strong does it?
You might also be able to decode the nuts from the attached drawing fragment.
Yes what he said. The wiring is slightly diferent for clockwise or anticlockwise rotation.
Mills Equipment Company, suspect these are generic
Ah yes, good point.
Yes sonobuoy, the clues are on the front. Don’t know any more than this …

Might be American equipment, otherwise must be pretty rare.
The one above the suuction looks like de-icer

The one above that has been a Decca Zone Ident Meter on one panel but that is square and your hole is round.
The one behind the throttle is an electric turn and slip indicator.
Nice! The over-sized cutout for the second Decca instrument down is confusing me since all 4 dials are the same size. I found some more on the internet and they all look the same as this one.

I found the reference here http://www.natolamps.com/wp-content/uploads/yootheme/TableA-6240-99-995-25-50V.xls and assume it relates to a pattern of Harley lamp or bulb.
No it is a Harley number, the number underneath is the partial NATO number.
