multi role fighters
i think that currently china might be ahead but say another 5 years india will overtake them
the t-50 uses the f-16 radar not?
it should get the new pak fa engine and radar as well as new plasma stealth when it comes out

LCA flying high and handsome. what a sight
IAF mirage 2000 and su-30.
thanx.guys for providing the information. as it is clear the LCA is not obsolete and can match and/or better the performance of the super hornet , f-16(uae) and other western aircraft.

just look at the bird. its one of the best looking fighters out there
the geniuses behind the fighter
what is this missile. and is it ramjet engine technology
is that the new american carrier. when will it go active. and what does it offer over and above the nimitz class.
hasnt the alamo allready beat the aim-120 in the indo -us exer. at gwalior?
cant wait till the jags show off their stuff against f-16 and mirages
this is what ****es me off big time. so little money for modernization. the govt needs to think long and carefully about it and act.
I remember the Mig-29 going down, but I don’t recall the Gripen crash.
an interesting thing about the gripen crash.after the pilot ejected the gripen performed a nearly perfect cobra manuever.mike spick talks about it in his book.also that was the earlier versions that haf FCS problems.
why not. it is right up there amongst the best. it is based on 21st century technology. a new radar that uses the ultimate in radar technology and is going to be upgraded in the future with AESA antenna. it has a isreili targeting pod and includes weapons such as the r-73 and long range isreili bvr weapons in the future. it includes all the goodies that exist in those fighters.its engine is american and soon an indian engine which is better will be used. it is made of extensive composite materials just like modern fighters and employs state of the art manufactering techniques.it will significantly improve india’s capabilities over the mig-21’s specially when the BISON made USAF pilots scratch their heads. if the bison is capable then the tejas will be much much better. it will definately out class the pakistani f-16’s and the chinese j-10’s…regarding its naval varient. i say u have to see when it comes out. it would be leaps and bounds better over the LCA which is allready so good. it will definately give the top fighters a run for their money.it includes everything they have plus is smaller, cheaper, and over all a newer aircframe.
.. please, explain…
.. does this alone say everything? what about the overall technological basis of Swedes or Yanks which is definitely a whole lot better than the one of India?
According to this logic, FC-1 should perform better than F-16E…
the super hornet is basically an f-18 which flew many years back.the LCA on the other hand is spanking new with high tech composite costruction a tailless delta configuration for increase unstability. it has a modern glass cockpit which someone just posted..i havent seen such an advanced cockpit before. it is full of display screens and all the functions are performed by the computer which is good. the software has been created by the best software engineers in the world.and the radar is modern unlike the apg-73 which is quite old. the Isreilis have helped in getting the pods and other avionics subsystems for the Tejas. the Nlca will incorporate the lessons learned from the LCA therefore will be even better. it should be able to outdo the super hornet i most of the cases while being inefrior to the f-14 (although the f-14 would be getting a pension by then) and more practical for india then the su-27K.the rafale should be superior but with certain upgrades the Nlca should be able to match the rafale over the years.although it dosnt seem to be that cost expensive but that is because things in india are a lot cheeper then the ROW. i am really looking forward to seeing the LCA replace the mig-21’s at my home town ambala. it would be an awsome fighter aircraft. definately worth the wait
