How this Harrier was able to take off I do not know!
I managed to find a few pics of well hung Warthogs.
…and what was this Tomcat pilot doing?!
Don’t you cry, dear. Here:
Thanks dan_pub, got any Mig 29s in RAF markings or is that raising the bar a bit?
😀
Despite the fact I’ve lived within 5 miles of A&AEE (and whatever else it became) Boscombe Down for the last 16 years can someone explain why I have yet to see any newer RAF ‘planes overhead?
I was always of the understanding that until quite recently Boscombe Down was where the new RAF aircraft were tested and evaluated.
I was hoping to have seen more pictures of Russian MIGs, Sukhois, Tupolevs, Ilyushins, Yaks and other Soviet aircraft wearing either US or RAF markings 🙁
More Chippy photos!
Looking through the net again I found these photos mainly on http://www.futurshox.net
Moggy, I think you’ll like G-AOZP! 😉

I had a look on web (using Google) to see what I could find out about the fate of WK620 and WK624.
WK624 has been reregistered as G-BWHI and is flying out of Woodvale.
WK620 on the other hand didn’t show any results and so I presume was destroyed/stripped for spares when retired from RAF service.
I’ll have another look and see if I can find any photos of either aircraft for you….

A few more Chippie photos I’ve found….
Whilst looking, unsuccessfully, for grey/green camoflaged Chipmunks I came across dozens of other pictures.
Enjoy….
😀
Just a few of the Chipmunk pictures I have that stir many beautiful memories….
My first
On the 22nd June 1991 I was introduced to my first Chippie, WP840 and have never looked back!
I was 13 years old and the 15 minutes we spent together circling Hurn airport, Bournemouth will live with me forever. We met again 3 months later sharing our last flight together almost exactly 12 months after our first.
I never realised that my memories of this first flight would live with me as long as they have and I was delighted to find that she is still flying today.
LONG LIVE THE CHIPMUNK!
